I was out a little late and didn't feel like heading home just yet so I go looking around for a little action. As soon as I pull out, there is this crazy looking Honda S2000....we are talking yellow with purple splatter paint all over it(looked like Barney had puked all over it) with dueling fart pipes(not stock). SO I think this boy must be packin'. He takes off. I get after him. He makes a light and I miss it. But I catch up to him....and guess what? The boy wants none of it. I am thinking you can't have a car that looks like that and not expect to attract a little attention. That's cool so I cruise on. I end up at a light by myself. And a white Prelude(former generation....1995ish) pulls up next to me. I notice he has guages on the A-pillar.....might be interesting. The side lights turn yellow and I hear him start to rev......I'm thinking...."cool"!!! Light turns green and he goes....turbo whistling away. I go. Reel him in quickly and go right on past. We go briefly from a roll but it really is no contest. Get up to the next light and talk to the dude. Younger guy. Seemed pretty cool. Said it was Turbocharged but not enough to hang. It was a nice clean car with no rice whatsoever. It was relatively sprightly though. Probably a monster in the 4 cylinder import world.

rock and roll. I'm surprised he'd even try it against a Z06, but I guess they can't all be as smart as the dude in the S2000 or else we'd never get to race anybody!

Yeah, sometimes smart is just plain out the window. I've had Hondas rev at me plenty of times before. One time I hear a rev and look over and this guy next to me in a Honda is smiling ear to ear. So I laugh in his face, and when the light turned I took off nice and easy and so did he, but he was pacing me down the road, staying right next to me. So finally after a mile of this I figure he just wants to see what it will do and I drop it into second at 50 mph and he disappeared soo fast it looked like he hit his brakes. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> After that he turned off.
I think sometimes they just want to see what your car is capable of. But there are times when they actually believe they can hang with you and educating them is soo much fun! I personally have never lost to an import of any kind including BMWs, Supras and Porsches. I know....before you say it, I just haven't run into the right one.
