Yeah, everyone stands up for what they drive. The funny thing is that even goes for parts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> If someone asks what is the best headers, everyone will chime in and say what they bought is the best **** and even swear by it. I think at the end of the day, everyone wants to belive they made a good decision and that what they bought is the ****. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> It's almost comical the way people will argue until their blue in the face to defend what they have even if it is inferior. If you enjoy what you own, that's all that matters.

Actually I think Tit Bar is willing to share with anyone who will race him. He hangs out with the LS1s here in houston looking for races. And his car is not slow. Never mind he is spraying the crap out of a bored and stroked motor. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I got pulled over by a cop once. And as he was lecturing me with the typical propaganda, he said that he used to race 11 sec. Mustangs. I started giggling and then I couldn't control it and started laughing out loud uncontrollably. The Officer said, "What's so funny?" I said, " 11 second Mustangs...yeah right....there ain't no such thing!!!" Needless to say, I got more than just a warning!!!!!

I have had F-bodies ever since I was 16(9 camaros/formulas/t/as) in the past 10 yrs. I love f-bodies but to say Stangs are a joke, come on thats just ignorant. Sure GTs and Cobras are weak N/A but they repond to bolt-ons great. The 94-98 GTs were crap IMOP, but the Cobras if driven right were good cars. My fiance used to have a 98 Cobra and the only mods were Flowmaster American Thunder 2 chamber mufflers, not the whole exhaust, just mufflers from Summit for $49.00 each. That COBRA ran 13.4@105 with a 2.1 60ft, stock OEM BFG Comp T/A Zr tires and a pro-5.0 shifter. We lainched it at a measly 2000rpm. That car just flat out screamed. When I got my 99 SS, they ran side by side, until I modded the SS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> But come on, the 87-93 FOX bodies are baddass! I have seen a couple break 13.9 completely stock 5 speeds. I am keeping an eye out for a 89ish 5.0 notchback 5 speed in really good shape, to make as a street car!

 

Just curious, why are your times so slow with that much power? Does your track just completely suck or what?

 

I mght take my Formula to the local mustang event at the track and mount my camera backwards.
