All Z06's are FRC's, and previously, the car before the Z06 came out in 01, was just known as an FRC. It's got a trunk instead of a hatch, the coupe part, and no targa top, hence, fixed roof.

The Z06 does have Fixed roof but isn't FRC.

However, you are correct that 99/00's with hardtops were model NAMED FRC's. So I guess I agree with you

The FRC is a body style. It is a fixed roof coupe, instead of the standard coupe with the removable top. In 1999, they started making the FRC. They have a 2000 model as well. In 2001, they used the FRC body style and gave the car a performance upgrade package known as the Z06 package. So basically, all Z06's are FRC's.
