All Z06's are FRC's, and previously, the car before the Z06 came out in 01, was just known as an FRC. It's got a trunk instead of a hatch, the coupe part, and no targa top, hence, fixed roof.
Well, technically, Z06's are not FRC's. The C5 FRC's came out 1999 & 2000. The Z06 came out in 2001, two different models with two different RPOs.

The Z06 does have Fixed roof but isn't FRC.

You have that backwords. TECHNICALLY speaking all Z06's are FRC's (as described, they are FIXED ROOF COUPES), just not by name.

However, you are correct that 99/00's with hardtops were model NAMED FRC's. So I guess I agree with you

The FRC is a body style. It is a fixed roof coupe, instead of the standard coupe with the removable top. In 1999, they started making the FRC. They have a 2000 model as well. In 2001, they used the FRC body style and gave the car a performance upgrade package known as the Z06 package. So basically, all Z06's are FRC's.
