Default vortech s/c'd gt

it was approximately an '00, he had the vortech (6-8lbs, and forget which unit he had but probably the mildest one), cat-back, and nitto dr's.

me= 3800 stall, lid, nitto drag radials, hptuners tuned. best of 12.72 @ 106mph. consistent 12.70's to 12.80's. 2.73 gears also

i will mention that he had a smaller passenger (kid looked like he was 100 lbs), and i was alone.

from a roll, i hit it a split second before him and he stayed at my back bumper till 100 plus-mph, he would slowly inch a little then fall back a little when each of us hit our powerbands.

from a stop- i got him out of the hole pretty good, i heard him spin a little bit- probably a carlength between us (which isn't that bad concidering i usually TEAR people out of the hole), he stayed back till the very top end when he started inching on me, but way too little way too late. at 115mph or so i had him a couple feet behind my rear bumper.

nothing spectacular, just thought i would share. he said that people with the setup he has average mid-high 12's so it was an evenly matched race.

Nice to run across a respectable GT. Good run. I watched one that a 65 yr old guy owned put down 401/405 at 8 PSI, 14.5 A/F and 10* Spark Adv.. He had MAC LT's, Prochamber and 3". Good sounding car. He wants to cam it up next.

Yeah, you shoulda see my face when I saw that A/F. I get nervous when I see 12.0:1 but then, I am running 22* of SA. I guess 14.5:1 @ 10* SA is ok. Hellifino! It didn't blow up or ping.

Only 20 degrees here...soon to be 17 with a 11.8 A/F across the board. Lot's of boost and spray + a lot of timing is a bad, bad thing.

Now it's warmed up and I have some traction, I expect mid 11's. I gotta do the TOB and fix the tranny first though. I have no clue what Dan's doing but I'd bet it's quicker than mine.

I haven't been to the track in a long time. Too much friggin' work.

My last outing produced a 11.29 @ 121mph a LOT of horsepower ago.

14.5 a/f DAMMM thats a bomb waiting to happen..And he will probally blame someone if it blows.
I only run 15*of timing with a 11.9 a/f on my old combo.

Sounds like it was a good race.

but you have to watch us "stock" looking gt's .You never know what you may run across

I wondered what happened to you since I didn't see your car at the KOTS.
