I'm going w/ the bike too on this one. Depending on what year 600 it is...I've seen the mags too where the relatively stock 600 ran high 9's while the stock group were all under 10.4. I think the average rider could run 11.0 or better. It's not that hard to race your bike. The main difference between riders is in the 60'.

Its harder than a car. Keeping that front down while cutting a good 60 can be a daunting task.

Uh....the only problem you are gonna have launching a 600 at KCIR is too much traction.

Anyone know what a 2005 Yamaha FZ1 runs in the 1/4 with a good rider?

My neighbor just picked one up and I'd like to run him for the heck of it.

Sorry for the hijack.

Thanks.

You can see 10's with mods, stock tho 11's if your a good driver. yes its got a good size motor in it but its a heavy bike, weight of about 600lbs without any gas in the tank, its just like my bike only its got a few more cc's. these naked bikes are AMAZING in the twisties tho. with a rear tire you can hug any turn you want going 50. idk look into a tuner of some sort and also a slip on from muzzy or hole shot. and take the rear sprocket up a tooth or two. it may bring down the top end but only a few mph. you'll love the response from it tho.

Oh and to the org. post. ya all the 03 and up 600 bike except the katana are pretty quick if someone knows whats they are doing. you gotta watch those r6's and those r1's are amazing

An FZ1 weighs 459 dry. It's not that heavy of a bike. 140 hp and a nice mid range punch, it can see 10's with a good rider. Mid 11's shouldn't be a problem even for a newb on that bike.

BZZZZZZT WRONG! The FZ1 weighs 459lbs dry.

The katana is a pig, but so is the YZF600R.

R6's and R1's are amazing. Ive owned both. your only way out is to go from a dig (or have tons of top end power). My R1 bone stock went 103mph in first gear, think about it
