srt-10 vs.....

Question srt-10 vs.....

I seen one of these in town today. I live in a small town so I take this kind of thing personally

What kind of power do these things put down realistically to the wheels, and what do the do in the 1/4. Also if anyone has any experience, what are they like up against them on the road. Im trying to figure if I ever run into him do I stand a chance, etc. I know he hasnt/wouldnt do any modifications to this thing, he seems more the lawyer flashing off his prestege, type. Not anyone that would have the knowledge of what they really own.

I believe they are in the neighborhood of 500 hp at the fly, 450ish to the wheels. My only experience against one was on my bike and I had him by a couple car lengths at 100 mph from a dig.

i'm pretty sure they're an 11.9-12.0 second car bone stock. i think you'd get him off the line pretty damn well but i think a roll race would be interesting.

id say unless you at least get some heads or youre spraying, you wouldnt beat him. the gen 2 cars were capable of 120+ traps with 50 less hp and more weight so the srt-10 should hit 123-124 traps or so with a decent driver.

That's a bad **** straight out of the box. You need full bolt ons and/or spray.

vipers are badass up top, if u ever watch em at the track they usually suck in the first three gears then take off like a bitch at the last stretch of the 1/4.. they run about a 12.0. compared to your 13.0 that might look like a big difference, 3-5 car lengths? (estimate)

11.9 - 12.1 @ 120 - 122 is pretty typical for a stock Gen-III

Definitely a high 11 second car at ~123mph. It would be a beast from a highway roll.

Thats good, I plan on being 12sec flat N/A then having the bottle, so it would definately be fun. I seen how it did up against a C6 stock vs stock in that Fifth Gear episode. Was amazing up top and took the C6 pretty well.

lets just say i raced one with 100 shot in my LT1 only at 800 psi ( not full pressure ) with my mods...i had him up to about 100 then he passed me!

now that i have a bottle heater and 150 shot, ill rape his ***!!

i know for a FACT they will pull on you from a 65 mph roll if you have just basic mods.

It's a 12.1 stock... but a good driver can get it high 11's... ull be able 2 get it w/ Cam and Headers, Nos, N Tires plus u got da Torque Converter 2 so that helps... If u get Heads then ull have it No prob... But there they are Fast *** cars Stock though! Better be for 80,000 g's!

If Im running 12.0's n/a and then spraying, youre saying he should still whoop me even after spray. So its a low 11 high 10 sec car now?

Yeh I know, I agree, I seen in that Fifth Gear episode where the C6 gets the jump and the viper still took it top end. Crazy stuff.. I just think it would be a good race.
