Default Silly ricer...

Let me set the scene for you...

It's 75 degrees with a warm breeze. The car is clean as a whistle. The windows are down and the radio is up. I'm rolling in the right lane at 45mph just enjoying the day.

An Asian guy in a Civic drives past and throws a rev through his fart can. I waited for traffic to clear than rolled up and let him hear a real rev. He guns it with about 4 car lengths between him and traffic then nails the brakes. Great.

Finally enough room clears. We go from a 30mph roll or so since we couldn't catch a light. I gave him a car and the hit then casually pulled her out of 4th, rev matched, dropped it into 2nd and stabbed the throttle...powershifted 3rd, wound it out then shut her down. I'm not sure how many buslengths I had on him. Eventually, he crept up and we exchanged thumbs up. Seemed like a decent guy.

The funny part is that a couple of 16/17yo kids in a Contour were egging me on...telling me to kick his ***! They were pretty pumped after I stomped the **** out of that thing. It's fun having an audience.

I believe the guy in the Civic was spraying...not that it matters really.

Nothing special, but fun regardless.

Killed a very nice '05 GT 'vert on 18" chromies too.

I killed the clutch later in the day. (Beat you to it Gray)

Can't really see the mod list...other than the non-power mods he listed. Obviously he's got a KB on there, but I have no idea what has been done to the motor....could be 550rwhp...could be 700rwhp. Who knows.

edit: $10K into the motor, KB, fuel system, gears, etc, rear end, beefed up tranny, clutch,

I don't see cams or port work. I'm guessing just over 600rwhp depending up the boost he's running. Great ride, but not crazy power. A turbo kit (T-76) on that car would have to be in the 750rwhp range.

Did you really have to rip both of his arms off to beat him with them?

You know the kind of race where your opponent acts like he hates your guts. That's how he was as first. He needed a "good old fashion passionate *** whoopin'."

...anyone know the rest of that lyric (hint: Eminem).

Unit213, what kinda power does your car make? I see you all the time around here talking **** to everyone who thinks they have any power and it makes me curious about what "real" power is.

Do you have a CarDomain or anything where your car can be checked out?

Just curious about your car, and by the way: you've now got me wanting an 03-04 Cobra.

My car doesn't make "real" power. I am the first one to tell you that my car is a roach. A street car with "real" power IMO should have between 800 and 1,000rwhp. Honestly...my car feels slow as **** to me. I've stated previously that I've wound out a friend's Hyabusa and it didn't feel fast enough. I have a bit of a sickness.

My car is getting work done this week. I'll post numbers after. It won't be anything special...just another KB Cobra running 17psi and some nitrous.

No doubt Dan, no doubt. I'm doing the reliability mods now before I turn it up a notch. I think I'm going to skip porting or KB and just get the Induction Concepts or Hellion kit. Damn it's gonna suck to have to drive around on wrinkle walls all the time.
