Default people are picking on me.

man,i just got a new clutch and only have 80ish mi on it. most of the time people don't come looking for a race, but wouldn't you know when i'm unable to race every butt head comes to run me. i tell them why i cant run and i got from one guy(those newer cars don't run for **** and you just don't want your *** kicked. i told him it's a 10sec car and he gives me the finger i'll be looking for him. people suck

Thats funny...I was putting some miles on my car tues night when an older guy in a Caddy XLR with his wife<?> pulled next to me at a red light. Gave me the look, started edgeing his car, we did the "nice car" gesture at each other, he wanted to run. But dammit, just installed new springs and cam, only 30 miles ago......so tempting to show him how slow his car is. Always next time.

That's when you pull the trigger. Worth the risk.

Holy **** bro...please tell me you're kidding. My A/F up top has to be 15:1. You ever see what 19psi and 15:1 on 93 octane will do to a motor?

I'll play it safe (and smart) and wait one day until it's tuned before destroying the motor.

I thought only ricers run FI combos and race untuned?

You have a hydrolic roller my friend, u dont need to be easy on that bitch with a new cam. Right after my cam was installed, less than 15 minutes later It was strapped to the dyno and being tuned for driveablitiy aswell. Then another 45 mins later, i was racing my brothers g5x4 cam'd car. Still running strong here

As if you need to run it up to 19 psi for a measly little viper... Save it for something worth racing, like the space shuttle.

i feel you unit, man i do.i want to bitch slap this guy. i've seen him three times this year and i will see him again.
paz06- it was a 79-80 z with slicks, cage, camming hard, the car was gutted out and a big tunnel ram comming out of the hood, his plate said(get som). i'm not worried about him,i should be able to hit way low 10's or hi-9's with the bigger shot of juce. in a month or less i'll find out.
SSSPEEDRACER-it's not worth it. if my clutch goes,or unit looses a motor(like i already did)then where does it get you? no point to destroy your own ride. there is a time and a place to do battle and it was not my time. thanks guys.mike c.

I understand I have a roller cam, wasnt worried about that. I used LS1howto.com for a guide and they suggest not running new performance springs past 4k the first day....it this true or just a rumor?

oh, ok I thought for sure you'd have that in there by now but of course I understand how **** happens. As far as me, I sold the heads b/c I needed cash b/c of the house we just bought, but I still have the TR224 that I want to install. I'm really curious to see how your car is with the f13. Let me know when you are gonna do it. We are all settled into the new house. We love it and my WS6 finally has a roof over her head, she's sitting perdy in the garage as I type this
