I have a 98 A4 Trans Am with 2.73 that is all stock. A guy i know has a 95 ss Camaro M6 with a 12-bolt, 4.10, and exhaust. He says he gets 12.00 and i didn't believe him but i just wanted to know if anyone knew how i would stack up against him?? Thanks alot

 

Hmm, he has a 12 Bolt but only exhaust? are you sure he's not lying? but if thats all he has u'll get him, that rear hurt him more than helped him if all he has is a catback, or does he have full exhaust?

You should be able to take him no problem. If its only a catback then you have nothing to worry about.

He is full of it in one way or another. Even if he has FULL exhaust, drag radials and the 12 bolt he won't be running 12 flat at 118 without a little "go juice".

Either he has more than exhaust/gears or you will drag him on the top end.




This sounds like a really good excuse to order yourself a lid. Can't be <$130 for a solid 0.1/1mph in the 1/4.

98 trans am how can a 4.10 ratio hurt him,he'll have a quicker pickup.His exhaust has nothing to do with his diff.

if the guy has a 12 bolt i would think he would have a little bit more than a cat back...did you hear any suspicious idle on that engine....this guy could be messing with you...just go race him

my brother has a 95 M6 with CAI, 4.10's, & blowmaster cat-back, and with my 02 M6 with 3.42's, i took him off the line and up top.

with your 2.73's and auto, he'll take you pretty well out of the hole, but if you go 1/4 mile or more, you'll most likely catch up and pass him (assuming all he has is the 4.10's & cat-back, and isn't spraying or anything)

 

from a stop it might be close, but on a roll you will beat him with th gears you have
