Im racing a 90's style LT1 vette tonight, he's got trickflow heads, comp cams roller cam, headers some other goodies and he'll be using slicks. Only problem is he doesnt have a computer tune done at all, but Im told it pulls hard.

Ive got everything in my sig, and I'll be sporting my ET Streets for this. Anyone got any tips, who do you think will win? Thanks !

 

are you tuned yet? are you using the 100 shot? his set up sounds kinda sketchy. is it a original LT1 with H/C or does he have a built motor? is he an auto or 6 spd? dont know enough about his set up to know how his car would run. but you should be solid mid 11's atleast with your set up.

Im fairly certain he mentioned its got a built bottom end etc, aswell as those heads and a decent cam. Id say its a 95 vette if Id have to guess, has an LT1 but his has never been tuned and he was asking me for tune advice a week ago, and now he wants to run me. So we'll see what happens.

Well dont be so sure. A built bottem end can mean a 383 or bigger anbd they can make some bad *** power. Definatly find out more about his setup before ya do anythign stupid lol. GL

Should be a pretty good race if he was tuned, but he isn't, so I bet you'll take em.

 

Well he showed up, but he came with his daughter. So of course we didnt run. Im not gonna say that was his way of chickening out, but doesnt seem like something you would do if you wanted to race. I did find out its a 1991 LT1 Vette anyway. Im sure this race will happen, but when I dunno. I'll see what I can do.

 

Sounds like he was afraid to get kicked ...that was his wy of going out with out beinf flamed to bad...As alot of us preach here...racing with kids in the car is a HUGE no no!

well they didnt put the LT1 in the vettes til 92' so unless he swapped it in there it might only be an L98.

 

Okay, I was told this earlier too. Anyway I can find out forsure if I have a look?

I did just do some research online and from what I can tell from pictures, hes got an L98 vette, so I dont think there was any swap going on there.
