Default Kept up with a Cobra!

I raced a 03/04 cobra (July17) from a 40 mile roll and it was pretty much even, I have 2001 ss with a Derale Oil Cooler, Short shifter, Catback, and Lid! Off the line i kick is ***, he probably did know how to get it goin from the line! Yeah but on a role of 20mph to 40mph it was even! Maybe it was the driver, or the fact that cobras weigh more and he had a passenger along with it and the cobra was stock! Whatever it was, I know cobras are said to be faster regardless of the driver or if the F-body is slightly modified! They are said to always catch up! Well when we shut down at 110 his headlights were at my front right tires! Yeah I expect hard criticism, but the reason I posted this was because it was a race with a respected rival where I was the underdog and I held my own and probably was the better driver that night! And trust me it was an o3/04 cobra I heard the infamous whine from the hood!

I posted a similar story in another thread. We started from a 10mph roll, and I actually started pulling away *slowly* toward the end of second gear. It sounds like I pulled about the same distance you did. This was in my Firehawk with a lid, catback, and MAF.
I also heard that notorious whine.

Nice kill on the Snake. Mod that thing up before he does.
