the fastest full interior street tires non-gutted car is in the low 10's , i think thats pretty good for a car that weights 4200-4400lbs, imagin if that car was gutted

if he has exhaust, boost controller and intake watch out if your stock, my friend would get beat by stock ls1 in his stealth, after he put those mods in the would win by 2 cars in the 1/4

It's funny, most people only want to race an AWD car from a roll. Race twice, from a roll and from a dig. That way both cars show their strengths and you can see how you do in both scenarios. On another note, the fastest recorded 3s was by Matt Monett in a full street trim Stealth hitting 10.696@133.456.

There is a shop in town that caters to the VR4/stealth R/t crowd. They have some of the fastest VR4's i have seen. They have a Stealth running something crazy like mid 8's in the 1/4 mile. The site is dynamic racing. They are in Alamogordo, NM. I think matt monett is one of the guys too.

heh how many F bodies are running 10's on stock size tires/factory rims without nos and full factory weight interior and are daily driven?

Id bet close to none.

Matt owns Dynamic Racing. I just read on 3si though that someone just broke that record running a 10.62. Slowly but surely, the 3s platform is moving forward.

how bout running completely n/a for both cars then if you want to play that game?? Or keeping boost at the stock level and running the stock turbo....

So are you trying to say LS1's need nitrous to get into the 10s? They're are cam only LS1's running 10s, stock heads, no power adders. As for the stock tires thing that's apples to oranges. Of course Vr4s can run stock street tires. They have AWD for traction, we have drag radials and slicks. Trying to run 10s on stock tires would be like trying to run 10s with the stock drivetrain on a VR4. Different cars have different issues.

ZFan88: I personally don't think you'd want the turbos off of my car. You could probably pull more boost with a vaccuum cleaner than with the 9b's; jk.

I've been on vacation.... Sorry to for that post that started all the commotion. but i was simply stating, compared to the other high powered japanese engines the mitsu v6 is harder to produce the knockout power of say a 2jz(supra) vg30 (300zx) rb26 (skyline) 4g63 (evo). All i ways saying is that they require more work to achieve the same levels of power reliably.
