Pullied 03/04 Cobra vs. Boosted Z28 I finally got to race one with my turbo installed. I'm running 5 psi, no intercooler or tune. He has pullied vert. with a cat-back. We had three races.
Race 1: 20 roll. I got the jump but missed third. He walked me bad.
Race 2: 30-35 roll. He gave three honks and we were off. Both shut down at the top of second gear due to traffic. Neck and neck.
Race 3: 30-35 roll, three honks. Neck and neck until we shut down at the top of third.
Traction was an issue for me on bad street tires. No hooking until third. (Nittos were shipped out yesterday). I smoked him (literally). My turbo seals are bad, a lot of oil dumping out the downpipe.
He was a really cool dude and his car is very nice. I have much respect for the Cobras after being walked by a few. Glad to see my homebrew turbo can keep up with pullied Cobras.
