On another note, you're a ******* idiot. We have cam only cars into the low 10's. average H/C setups run well past mid 120 traps.

 

This is probably spill over from srtforums warstories being closed,I suspect alot of new trolls will be collecting here. To the original poster,this proves that less then 1% of srt's can beat a stock corvette,what an accomplishment. Better watch out guys,4cyl'er are soon to be top dog at the track.

 

1 mod and into territory a srt-4 has never reached.

 

Not to take his side or neon's side, but this is typical unrealistic elitist Unit23 stuff here, lol. Come on dude, 120mph traps are fast on this board too. They may not be fast to you personally, but.... speaking generally, any car that traps 120mph is a VERY fast street car, statistically and realistically speaking. Speaking in terms of the population of people on this board...Probably 80% of the people on this board don't trap that high. So even here, a modern muscle car enthusiast site with people from all over the U.S., thats even fast. The only way we can really define "fast" is relatively & through statistics and what you are saying just doesn't add up

Here's the old LS1. Nothing special...and in retrospect, the FRC's = Oh well. They were dirt cheap.
It did go 11.50's on Kumho's so that's not all bad I guess for only spending
$800 in mods.

 

I'd like to see the stats on that. Poll every LS1Tech member and see what they actually run. I bet the percentage that trap 120 is much higher than you think.

My view on speed is skewed. I'm fully aware of that.

and i agree with unit on this point, any h/c car should br trapping atleast 120, alot of cam only care are nearly there at 118-119ish

 

Well many H/C cars don't even see 120, and most cam only cars trap less than 118 unless they have significant lighting. heck even the guys with decent size cams like F13's only seem to trap 115-117. Look it up. You are doing what most people do on most car sites, and thats take the BEST ones and use them as an example of the general population and its just not accurate.

Either way, the main point was that a car that traps 120mph is still "fast" even on this site. Unless of course we all agree that H/C LS1's are slow cars?? Hmm according to unit, a 700hp street car is Extremely slow so that means H/C Fbod's are what? pathetically slow?

 

That's damned impressive too. It seems like every LS1 I see now has a huge *** cam at least.
