How do you know he doesnt have any mods? It said mods unknown in the video. However it looks like to me he at least has a FIPK. Big 'ol black wing type filter.

Im not sure people here are making excuses for the camaro, so what if he had a passenger, so what if he was stock, he called the mustang out. Run what ya brung. Racing only, no excuses. The LS1 is not infallable or undefeatable.

It's like when I used to read the SRTForums.... they would periodically show videos where a SRT gets walked from a dig by a EVO/STi/Insert here..... and everyone would just fill pages and pages of the thread with excuses....or race him from a roll.... blah.

With equal mods it wouldn't really be much of a race though either. LS6 intake (15-20), pulley(8-10), and exhaust. It was still something to watch.

i noticed that lid wasnt stock on that ls1.




that GT according to that video was nowhere near stock.




if all that ls1 has is a lid id give that GT the edge from a stop.



stock a4 ls1s suck from a roll.

 

not too bad from the 15 to 25 mph range and 50 to 60 range.

Wow, what a thread. Some fucknut posts a vid a modified '05 GT not being able to keep up with a 99.9% stock A4 Z28 and then runs away.

Now we've got a Mustang VS F-body debate.

Did anyone else see the video that I saw? The Z jumped a nose on the first race, yes, but he still pulls away decently enough. Second race the '05 gets a much better leave, but the Z still pulls back up top. Did no one else see the Z reeling him in??

I think it's pretty evident where the power is.

And then to make himself feel better I guess, the '05 M5 wants to run from a gay *** roll (like we've got two 1000whp cars here) naturally right in the A4's weak spot. Impressive Mr. '05 GT.

A4 is not bad from a roll....unless that roll is over 30mph or under 60mph. My LT1 A4 2.73 geared car was EVIL from 30 or 65mph.

who cares about a 20mph roll?? I personally hate 10/20/30mph rolls. if you wanna do a roll race, 40 or higher

no its not--the car does not shift down into 1st gear, so you get major laggy feeling....maybe in a vette it doesnt feel bad but autos suck at 40 mph

At 40mph roll I was scared of Mopeds. VERY BOTTOM of 2nd is where it landed me. PS. in my 88 GT I also avoid modded LS1's

05 GTO is an equal match for an 05 GT provided the GT owner knows how to run it. I have seen one magazine hit 13.1 at 99.XX with a HELL of a launch and a BONE STOCK 05 GT. From a roll or in a longer race, the GTO would own it though. Light to light, my vote goes for the GT with a crazy mean driver (but put the same guy in the GTO and you got problems....)

yup, its a modded 05 gt versus a stock ls1 z28, pretty much a drivers race but ya pretty lame.

 

Yeah, first race...the GT driver says "I'm still here." The same could be said for the Z28, cuz he was "still there" in the second and third race.

 

Haha no ****, I still dont get that, like obviously your still there, if your a half-way decent driver you SHOULD still be there. I mean with his mods against a pretty much stock z28 he should be dead even or slightly pull on him, considering equal drivers and both being either autos or M6's. The video is just pointless and stupid, haha but then again so is this thread, yet I keep posting lol.

 

i thought it was 2/3 for the z28 but whatever. the roll races dont show much, because the gt is a stick and the z28 is an auto. there are different speeds that are more beneficial for each guy
motorhead any stock 05 gto would kill you. you barely held with an auto z28 with only an intake/filter. how do you expect to stay with a car that is trapping 108 easy, 109 110 mph or more for the freaks
