got killed first off let me start by saying i have a 2002 ss a4 w/slp LM and hypertech.
so im on my way to work when ahead of me i see a 2005 SL 55 AMG Benz. so as im coming to the light were he was i knew those cars were somewhat fast so the light turns green before i get their and he hits it as i am at his rear bumper cought me unexpexted so i hit it and he pulled a little. next light is red so we line up light turns green and we are off i cant grab traction i guess he did so when i shift to second my front bumper is at his rear bumper and i coudnt catch him as a matter of fact he kept pulling a little bit. then we come to the next light and i said man that car is fast he told me he has 495hp supercharged v8 runs in the 12 sec 1/4 mile stock then i asked him how much it cost he said 110k before taxes now thats alot of money. but for 495hp i think he sould have pulled harder because i was right behind him he was even like man you were right their with me. bottom line that car was pretty fast. i wonder has anyone ever raced one of those cars as well?

Yes, he should have beat you pretty fierce. I have no idea why he didn't. I've personally seen the E55 amg run 12.2s with a 65 year old man driving. I believe that the SL is heavier, but not THAT much heavier.
Maybe his automatic was confused and in the wrong gear?
