Kill #2! I know i've already posted a kill this week but DAMN I was on a roll this week and decided to inform you all of my extreme awesomeness!! 
About 3am this morning my friends and I were coming home from a party at college and we had brought our video camera JUST in case we caught some racing, and we did
so my friend in the back pops in a fresh tape once we get on the interstate and I saw a 2006 mistubishi eclispe goin about 65 in the travel lane and I pull behind em and I threw a rev at em and when he revs back I here a whiny spooling sound and the blow off valve... now I had NO clue of his mods but for one this is I know these dont come turbo-ed.. So im like whatever and I pull up next to em and we slow down to about 40 and we went on 3 horns
On the 3rd horn (im in 3rd) I pin the gas and were off... before I knew it he was 2 car lengths behind me but he kept a good car 1/2 behind me and we shutdown at 120.. Take 2 we roll from 55 and he sticks next to me till about 80-85 then I pull 2 car lengths and shutdown at 130.. was a good race and since my friends in the car had a few
they were like WHOOA DUDE that was uhh Awesome! I cant wait to see how the video came out with my drunken friend taping it.. It must be hysterical..

I dont know much about the 06 eclipse's but it had to of had (350-425hp) to keep up with me like that?

Exactly. The new Camaro is going to be a hell of a beast. I'm thinking 1/4 mile and speed of a stock C5 Z06 or faster with a healthy LS2 in it. I don't know though, GM seems to be on crack lately so it may be a turbo'd 4 cylinder with front wheel drive and a 747 wing out back.

Do you really think that with GM's massive financial troubles they are going to be breaking new ground with this camaro, or is it going to turn out like the cobalt, etc....after all, i know of no rwd chassy with a solid rear axle that they have that they could base it off of. the new GTO chassy is too heavy/expensive to be plausible to compete with the mustang and the vette chassy is out of the ?, so honestly...what are the odds? (dont get me wrong, it would be AWESOME if they did as good a job as ford in going retro.)

Zeta chassis I believe, a derivitave of the Kappa (although they did away with those names recently).
I have also heard rumors that the zeta chassis project was discontinued, but that such a cancelation wouldn't hinder a new camaro, one way or annother.
No a new camaro would not break new ground. It would use designs and parts (read: LS2) from other cars. specifically the vette, gto and a few caddys.

I was thinking the same thing. If its a manual, you should have been in 2nd gear, and could have went down to first. But first would have kinda been a waste, since you would have had to shift it right after you hit the gas. But definately not third. No wonder why a turboed crap wagon stayed with you.

Well what you dont see to well in that pick is the 2 month old Go-T....and the Lebret stud in my lip....I wish sometime they would hand me a weapon and say "Let's go kick some ***!!" I would love it....But I would rather do it with my hands....Something about snapping necks and breaking arms seems better than a bullet for these guys....

Well I don't think that Eclipse was stock, unless you did get on it at 40mph in 3rd (Wrong gear). The new Eclipses run low 14's stock. I really don't dig on them as they are heavier then even an F body (Like over 3500 lbs. from what I read in one publication). Anyways, i'm sure they have a good aftermarket for the Eclipse, but i'd rather own an Evo anyday over it.
