You can't say that all the ford guys are pompous, but that word would be a great description for a few of them on this site. I've noticed a couple of the mach guys just post when they want to bragg about how fast they are, or how they're faster than an LS1. I guess it makes em feel better to come to the competition's website and talk up their cars. With that said, there are some mach1 guys here that don't fit that description and are pretty cool. I happen to like the mach's quite a bit, and would drive one if they didn't make trans am's or camaro's with an LS1.

I would have taken a mach 1 over my hugger SS but i couldn't afford one. I've got two camaros and i'll be the first to say that the overall, the mach 1 owners are hardly as "pompous" as LS1 guys.

Its going to be close better have a driver mod b/c those mach 1s are fast, but it sould be a good race good luck.

I just want to get this out there Mach 1's ARE Fast cars..they are 32 Valve V8..ya...ok thats just to clarify that i dont dislike mach1s they are very nice EXPENSIVE cars tho.

Mustangs are geared low from the factory. IF he hooks well thats where you will have your problem. I ran Dans mach awhile back with a few bolt ons and it was pretty much dead even. From a dig i would have gotten drug prolly.

I would like to hear the out come too... It seems like everytime one of these threads are made "Can I beat my buddy's Mach1" they never tell the out come of the race.. I wonder why that is.. If you loose it's no big deal we would all like to hear about the race and what happend.. If you won cool deal you have the faster car..

oh and for correction the mach comes with 3.55 gears and the trans am has 3.42 gears not vice cersa.

LOL yea mach 1's are slow...Buddy of mines "slow" mach ran 11.7 at a decent track with very few mods. Oh and as far as being expensive, he got his white one NEW for 22k out the door.
