altering that qoute to atempt a joke was pathetic. Your ignorance of 4 cylinders is beyond belief, I would call you a ricer first before your honda buddy. You sound like a whining girl with her panties in a bunch.
Calling that one guys 91 Olds almost a ricer and saying why he spent SOO MUCH (~1800) for over 300whp in a 4cyl was the worst comeback in the history of this forum.
lastly,
end yourself

Thought I would stir the $^&%pot here.
Well, I am speed loyal, not brand loyal. Pretty sure it would be more fun to drive a high horsepower car regardless of what it is. After that you must decide how streetable you want it.
Anyone seen this?
It's a 4-cylinder, it HAS to be slow, . It would destroy anything on this site, now what?
Discuss amongst yourselves.

I have seen a stock motor swap k20a2 Civic hatch beat a 2000 Z28 Camaro with an exhaust by about 3 cars. On motor only. In the 1/4 mile.

I have a friend that just built a Civic for a little under 7K. He makes about 212 on motor and probably around 270 on a 55 shot. He run a 12.9 on motor and street tires. Use a LS1 Camaro for an example. It takes an intake and tires for a good *** driver to run the same time he did. How much is an LS1 Camaro with an intake and a set of tires? Probably around 10K? That 4 cylinder just beat that V8 for less.

8 to 12K rpm all day? yeah, that engine is going to be a daily driver, and last
Ive never been around, or seen V8 guys take up for 4 bangers before.
Whatever floats your boat I guess.
Id rather put the $$$ into a V8 than into a 4 banger.
Dollar for Dollar the 4 banger is going to lose.
NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT.................Does anyone still use that, or am I too old?

i am only aware of one 4cyl n/a car producing 300hp, 310 if i remember correctly. It's a honda motor in a drag car that does 9's. Lauded as the "fastest RSX".
In actuality, it's far from an RSX, it's basically a tube chassis and a thin metal platform with a fiberglass body, most likely weighing somewhere between 1700 and 2200lbs. It has less creature comforts than a Manco go-cart.
The engine generates i believe 310hp and 220lb ft. The design is so radical that it has a worse operating life than a top fuel dragster. They break clutches, this breaks bearings just as often.
Overall i'm impressed with the times the car runs, much in the same way i'm impressed with the performances in the Special Olympics. Yeah, it's a great time, i'll give you props for that, but it isn't like it's a functional car.
and i step out of the minefield, back into the shadows.

This thread reminds me of my dad's Pinto station wagon. He built the 2.0 in it to be stupid fast... nowhere near streetable by today's terms, but he smoked many big-block Chevelles with it. Think it put 260ish to the wheels, and he shifted at 9600 rpm.
