KB cobras are insane cars and make great torque. but for that kind of money i would rather get a forged stroker and throw some boost at it if you want to make big power. with boost, pound for pound LS1's will make more power. but cobra's can fit a twin screw under their cowl and get the knarly whine. but personaly i feel that a 700hp WS6 is cooler than a 700hp cobra

I'd be MORE than willing to be the test subject at finding out just how much spray is needed to "stomp" a KB Cobra

Depends on the KB (or Whipple) Cobra.
Some run deep into the 10's. Most H/C LS1's are going to need a hit to keep up, unless they're a more "hardcore" setup.
Also, more and more ported Eaton cars are running 10's now. I know of few that are well into the 10's (10.8's@~127mph).
I guess it depends on how much work you want to do to run the number. It'll take more to do it with an LS1, but might be cheaper with the initial cost of the car figured into the equation. A forged LS1 with H/C, turbo and a 12-bolt isn't going to be cheap, but it should be fast.
And I'm 6'3", 240 and fit into my Cobra just fine.
