Heading home I catch a light behind a black m5 mach 1. I rev and he replied. There was a car in front of him but once there was room he moved over and punched it. I followed but began 2-3 cars back. I was gaining on him slowly but shut down as there was no sense in going that fast. We caught a light and I was spinning pretty bad through second but had 2-3 cars on him. By the top of third it was 3 or 4 and I shut it down.

I was hoping to pull on him harder the first race but I'm currently running my car with 6 degrees of timing pulled

 

How much were you spraying?

Ouch, low blow I never sprayed. Right now my car is making around an extra 225rwhp on the gas so had it been used it would have been ugly.

 

So you have a 5.0L Modular stroker motor with heads, cams, and probably almost everything else done and only beat a most likely stock Mach1 by 2-3 cars N/A... That doesn't sound all that great too me.. How much power are you putting down N/A..

 

Sorry for the low blow.......I just saw your sig and assumed. What kind of power are you putting down? Do you have the VT stage II cams?

Yeah its a good kill, I would think he should also be able to beat the Mach1 worst then that too with all he has done to that car.. That is all.. I'm about to build a 5.0L stocker motor too and they make some pretty good power..

Well all of the 5.0L modular motors I have seen are strokers.. That is how you make a 281ci 4.6L into a 300ci 5.0L... I'm about to build one so I have looked into it..

 

Na the 2v are a joke, no denying that. With lts and all the bolt ons I made just over 270rwhp on my stock block. Then with a 10.5:1 shortblock, bored 20 over, and cams it made right at 300rwhp. With heads and an intake added it made 320/338. I'm hoping with the 302 to make 325-330 but with around 350tq.

Due to some detonation issues I'm having, I am currently running my car with 6 degrees of timing pulled so its obviously not running to its potential. Putting 3-4 cars on him till the top of 3rd was a pretty good lead I would say. However, I'm sure traction played a large role in that. I'm heading to the shop in the morning and hoping to solve my pinging issues.
