Dont need alot of low end power when the car revs as high as this one. I still do no tunderstand the comcept of the two step. What is it?

I think UNIT is just used to seein his own dynograph, with the KB makin 1, 500 hp and 1,200 at 2k RPMS.

It's not about low end power since this isn't a street car.
It's about area under the curve.

It's basically a second rev limiter.

Thats exactly right. You would need to look at a boost gauge for diesels or something that reads in bars.

No one that runs that kind of boost uses a "gauge".

thanks dude.

Allan over at fms tried taking it down the track but it just wouldnt hook at all.

he managed a 11.6 at 135 with a 2.0 60 footer.

Car is approx. 4k lbs and can hook until past the 1/8 mile.

LOL, 11.6 @ 135!! Must have had no traction at all. 135 is a hell of a trap speed there, be nice when you can hook to the track. Same for me 12.2 @ 120, should be much better ET when I can hook.

I want to know what has been done to the AWD to handle that power. I just see in my mind **** blowing up like a damn funny car launching a blower or clutch.

I like this comment the best---"826 AWHP!!! and 597 Ft/ lbs! that was on 42 psi on C16 just like the car would sit on the street!" ........I know many people disagree, but my ideal car would sit on the street with nothing but 93 octane. Just preferance I guess.....I'd still take an EVO like that!

www.1320video.com

go to video's.

Scroll all the way down to the blue ls1truck on the dyno. 408 stroker, T-76, push button all wheel drive.

Proper torque curve.

Check out the FI section, W2W just finished roofer dave's engine and at 28 psi (with his turbo running out of steam up top) it made over 1550hp, there is also another car that made almost 1200hp that was just finished.

I would expect more from a 404cid motor with a 94mm turbo quite
honestly. Not that I'm discrediting it, that's flat out amazing and it's
where I'd like to be.

Shep built the tranny and the rest should be up to the task. People a;ways seem to foget that all these cars and parts have been around for along time in rally racing and cant take a good beating.

You like to point this out, but you still dont seem to see the differance between 4 wheel drive and AWD.

Why does Buschur racing sell $2800 transfer cases, level 5 axles good up to 900awhp $1540? Quaife diffs. are $1600, triple carbon clutches are $2000+.....not to mention all the other parts that can go wrong with a AWD driveline.

I'm sure some people can run 10's with not too many supporting mods, but people can also run 10's with a 10 bolt and stock clutch in a fbody----I wouldn't state it as fact though.
