Either your track has to be at high altitudes, or just a real slow track, because my best friend pulled a 14.4 on his first try out in his 04 srt-4 and that was completely stock. His best was a 14.2 @ around 100 mph. So id have to say that guy either had a dog of an srt-4 or couldnt drive. Stock they arent that impressive, but ive seen some real fast modded srt-4's.

It was probably a NA normal spec Neon. Full bolt ons and slicks would likely get one to mid 14s

I drove my brothers to a 14.3 spinning to the 60' mark,on stock street tires. It was a 2.4 60' I believe. So if he was on slicks, somthing was wrong, very wrong. Could have been a srt design.

i just ran a stage 1 not to long ago. First races was from a 30mph roll. By the begining of 4th gear the srt4 was 3 car lengths behind me and fading fairly quickly. Second race was dead stop. by the end of third gear the srt was 3 car lengths back and fading fairly quickly. Keep in mind that i was on bald street tires, full tank of gas, 200lb passenger, and a messed up transmission which i was scratching all gears, even with granny shifting. I was also shifting around 5k's. I know the srt4 are really quick cars. I was a little hesitant to race him. I believe the srt4 was also pushing around 15 psi. With a better driver in my TA the outcome would've been worse.

Lets not lie... SRT's look nice in my opinion but the FWD... takes all credibility away from the car in my opinion and like everyone else has said... if its stock you'll have no problem.

Stage 1 is like 10 hp,not much quicker than stock.

My friend has a SRT4 and i helped him do some mods. He has the stage 1 psm, agp waste gate, big front mount intercooler, downpipe, map sensor full exhaust, and only runs a 13.50 in the 1/4. I still smoke his bags on the motor. and im all stock. Im almost sure you can be this kid. the quickest srt4 i have seen was a stage 3 at a 12.9! and then it blew up. lol

thats funny considering when people try to race me and I tell them to race my friends SRT-4 first and if they win, then ill decide if they are worth my gas. most of the time, they just shut up because they dont wanna get there *** handed to them by a neon. As of Xmas, we are putting on a bigger turbo and fuel system for the next 2 weeks and tunning it. Then to the dyno... then the streets...

Stage 3 cars are weak when compared to larger turbo cars. The fastest SRT4s are in the very low 11s and about to go into the 10s.

if its a kid he probably doesnt know how to drive. u should be able to easily beat him. there is a kid that drives a cobra with a whipple and bolt ons around here and got beat by my friends mustang. so driving makes a big part but he still shouldnt have enough hp to get you.

raced a srt-4, w/ my lt1 ta-mods:exhaust and filter only, and i beat him ....it was kinda close at 1st, but it goes to show ya, iron blokc and alum. intake!!! Now ur lightly modded alum block/head and composite intake should def slip past him, them, or whatever... just a lil input
