I can tell you an SRT4 does have better fit and finish than an F body, not too much but a little better.

Yes stock for stock an F body will kill an SRT4 but to all you guys talking **** about them and how you **** on everyone because they are slow peices of **** havent raced a decently modded one yet.

most stock srt-4's hang with lt1's cars pretty well but they can be made rockets pretty easily a buddy of mine as one that i could beat him when he was running stock boost which was about 12 psi but as soon as he addes a boost controller he now spikes 20 psi and the thing goes pretty good now he would be neck and neck with a good running ls1 car (i cant wait til he blows his turbo which is what he should hope for at the very least )

another srt-4 guy we have running around runs even faster i dont know how his motor stays together but he has a picture that was taken of his boost guage with the needle pointing straight down! which they estamated at being anywhere from 30-35 psi being as how the guage stops at 25 psi he was running on 110 octane fuel at the time and runs from 20-25 psi and pump fuel dont ask me how they stay together but believe me some of these srt's are no joke

one thing is for sure their motors wont last very long like that without the propers mods (larger turbo, tuning, etc etc they are both idiots)

Anything can be made fast of course, but FWD is too dangerous IMO. I have raced a couple SRTs (one with spray) and they had some nasty torque steer. One guy switched lanes unintentionally due to the torque steer.

Theyre decent for what they are in stock form from a roll...the ridiculous wheelhop owns the cars from a dig. The cure for that is putting in solid motor mounts which turns the car into a huge vibrator.

stock boost for SRT-4's is 6-7PSI, the stock ecu can only handle up to 13.5-14PSI, then it's time for that stage 1. stock internals on the engine of the SRT-4 can handle up to 455whp. pretty amazing if you ask me.

I raced a few SRT-4s in my car before it went to the shop, and they were very respectable little cars. I won both times (not with this current setup), the first relatively easily, the second was a great race and I though the car looked and sounded great.

Srt-4's are low 14 second cars stock, maybe high 13's with a good tire and a nasty driver who can launch with fwd. A few of my buddies have srt-4's, and for 20K brand new you really cant beat the performance for the price. I got take take my buddies bone stock 04 srt-4 for a long roadtrip to maine and I was impressed, the car felt really good at high speeds. Also, I agree with whoever said srt-4's are faster than 99-04 mustang gt's as having driven both the srt-4 def felt faster/quicker than the gt's. All in all a good/fun car to mod and a pretty good steal for just about 20K brand new.

There's a local guy running 11.40's in his SRT4. It's heavily modded of course.

stock boost for an srt4 is 11-15 psi (depending on air temperatures, etc)

the stock internals can handle between 500-550 fwhp if setup correctly.
*tons* of 450-500 fwhp srt4's running around for 20-40k miles

read up on this, please. i think i would know considering my brother owns one and we're always working on it. the computer can't even hold up 13 spiked to 14psi, let alone 15psi or it will throw codes at you and/or overboost because of the lack of air/fuel flow - that's when stages come to play. you can safely boost 11 psi with it maybe spiking to 13psi. go to the forums and see how many people are running with stock internals and since when. i KNOW they do last a long time running with high boost/stock internals, just take a look at SRTGURL's car and the specs on her website, that's the only one i could think of from the top of my head.

srtgurls car is sick, got to see it this past summer, thing is nasty! The exhaust is soooo loud too, sounds really good for a 4-cylinder.

Youre either blind or you cant read a non BAR boost gauge, which is yea.... They definetly run 13-15 and drops to 10ish at red. Then again sounds like a typical SRT-4 owner that doesnt know his own car.

I went 13.80 @ 103 with only BFG DRs mounted on 15" steelies and Upper/Lower AGP motor mounts in a 05 SRT-4 and I'm sure I could have done better but I felt bad beating the living crap out of my ex's car . They definetly have the power to go 13's stock...it just isnt easy because they cant get off the damn line without spinning or hopping all over the damn place.

i know what you're saying, but the computer wont handle that much psi. when you upgrade ecu and supporting mods, then it's safe.
