Handled a C5
Handled a C5 Hey guys, it was a nice day out so I thought I'd take the car out and drive her a bit and I run into a young kid and his friend driving his moms C5. They obviously didn't understand the difference between a stock car and a modded one so they got a crash course 
. They pulled up beside me in town, by the was my tires are completely bald so all I do through 50 is just spin, so they motion to run'em so I try and feather the gas but just smoke so I tell'em lets run them up the highway, we were going out of town. They take off and I catch them and pull away until around 90 so they pull off on a side road and want to run them from a stop, they say they'll give me a head start so I smile and tell them to go ahead so they take off and they pull away a bit until I get traction and then I start to walk off again. You can tell he didn't know how to drive the car because it was a stock M6 and he almost killed it twice and then almost lost it when we were running them on the side road. They were both cool though, they pulled over after the second beating and admired how much they liked my car so that's cool. I handled'em pretty easy but not as much as what I would have liked. What's a newer C5 putting a the rears, I figured around 300-325. I don't normally race much, like to keep the car in prestine condition, but you have to teach a lesson every once in a while

H/C, full bolt-on's, intake, exhaust, etc., 400rwhp. Like I said, I handled them no doubt but I guess I just thought it'd be a bit more. That's me though, never satisfied with power .

If you where having traction issues then it would have appeared to be closer. So you probably where in fact a lot faster.
Vette's are pretty good stock. Any idea what year or model (Fastback or FRC?).
Either way the M6's are capable of low 13's/high 12's STOCK, when driven correctly of course.

Yea, I can't get it to hook up worth hell. If I punch it from a stand still, I just spin through 50 and it's even hard to feather the throttle and get any traction. It's got a set of bald F1 GS's on it right now but that's gonna change this spring, I'm putting a set of 315 Nittos on it. It looked to be about an '02 hardtop.

We had a firehawk that spun till we let off at 85 at teh dealership I used to work for. Previous owner ran 12.5@115 in it. It definitely would have had issues taking a slower car that hooked. I say you were par for the course.
