I bet hes got a 50 trim. Thats what Im running in mine and @ 21 psi untuned running into the 9 :1 a/f it made 375 whp. From a roll on only 18 psi I stayed dead even with a Z06 all the way to about 130 or so. Your in trouble from a roll and if he runs race gas hes going to make your car look very very slow, Im talking multiple buslengths.

If he has the upgraded turbo (50 trim) you're hands are going to be full. I raced one not so long ago with similar mods and he stayed pretty close behind me. Your best bet is from a dig so you can out launch him and hope he doesn't run you down.

LoL if the "neon" is modded like the owners says it is I wouldnt be surprised if it gave your cobra a run for its money as they are sub 3000 pounds without a driver, and with 400+ fwhp from a roll thats quite a stout combo to tangle with. I can my buddies 04 srt-4 who has a 50 trim, waste gate acctuator, full turboback, K&N, tune, up graded fuel system, tuning, etc and he walked me easily. ALso I agree with whoever said just to run the guy as most people who claim XXX amount of horsepower and brag to everyone are usually the ones who are lying. Most people who have 400+ whp keep fairly quiet as they dont need to brag because they know they can tangle with most cars on the streets. JMO.

50 Trims are the big thing right now for a lot of people because they spool well but have power to run with the bigger dogs. Thus they are common and cheap.
There are numerous 50 trim hybrids out there for DSMs that bolt right to a stock mani, and cost from 600 to 1200 dollars. The FP Green being the king of hybrid 50 trims for street DSMs IMHO.
Full Garret 50 Trims are about 600 and up, but Garret stuff has so many options the price varies widely. They are definitely under a grand though. Excelent all around turbo. Wont see many cars over 450WHP with them though.

My buddies srt-4 and I were dead even from a roll and he had the stage 1 plus bolt ons. I have all the bolt ons. I slowly started to pull on him after like 140mph. He said that he was shocked because mine was the only f-bod to hang with him. I told him that his was the only srt to ever hang with me. He can also drive the car, just becuse that guy has a fast srt4 doesnt nesacarily mean he can drive it to its full potential.

"....just whip tha neons *** and be done with it...."
that's why driving a modified srt4 (or a lot of other seemingly slow fwd cars) is so much fun, the look on the faces of the drivers of all those rwd "musclecars" as they get an re-education on power/weight ratio the hard way.....and lots of srt4's cutting 1.7 60 foot times on dot tires so from a dig dont count your chickens either.
21 psi in an srt4 build correctly with a couple hundreds pounds of weight reduction? high 11's on dot tires, mid-low 11's on slicks folks.
now race.

I'll get him either tomarrow or Fri/Sat. I just got my new tires ( Goodyear F1 SC ) and brakes put on ( brembo blanks/hawk pads )
If I lose I'll get him again when I have the 90/90 put on.

Want to win? Then don't race. Personally, I think the 90/90 is a waste on a stock car. Get a converter, some MT Dr's, and a full exhaust system (LT's, Y, Catback). You might think about a cam while your at it. FWIW, my girlfriend went 11.59 @115 in her cam-only car. TR224/.568 114 cam
