That Mach is a monster. If the driver can row 'em and he can find traction, I say
it's over for the Camaro.

Rick - Does the Mach still have nitrous on it? I know it made almost 800rwhp without it.

no, the mach doesnt have nitrous anymore..it put down 779rwhp all boost.
the owner said that he drove it on the highway and he broke loose at about 120. He said he thought he had **** in his pants and he would never do it again...lmao..i was laughing so hard when he said that..

It depends on what blower he's running along with other variables...such
as compression, boost, pump vs. race gas, etc.

My guess would be around 650rwhp tops.

the engine on the camaro was built by hpe. it is built for boost and i believe it is boosting around 16 psi on that paxton blower. I know the owner had cut 1.48-1.49 60ft at bradenton. It dead hooks and if i remember correctly the owner of the camaro said that since they are betting 5gs then he is going to come out with everything he has for the car..( someone mentioned that he also has 150 shot)
i guess the mach will probably need to spray...

If properly driven and with traction, I doubt it.

Hopefully they'll race so we'll find out.

man, the problem here is that when they set up a race from a dig it means that they go to a freaking dark dark place that videos come out all f@ked up. you cant see a damn thing through a video camera.

Not to take anything away from the guy, but how is he losing traction at 120?

Ive got more power then that and 80 mph is pretty much the limit, but then again im a heavy car.

Is his car light, like 3300lbs or less?

I'm still not cool with the idea of someone else driving the guys mustang. If you're gonna talk all that ****, you better be in the driver's seat to eat that crow. I'm betting the LS1 takes it. Unless this guys friend is a supremely bad *** driver, with some one else's car, you're gonna need some time in the seat to get the feel for it. I doubt this guy's friend is in it right now doing just that.

Guys in South Florida better be careful when Chris gets his car back! They are shooting for 850-900whp w/out nitrous! And yes he does drive it regularly.
http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthr...hreadid=174464 I know this car has nothing to do with this race just thought you guys might be interested.

im sorry to say this, but 99percent of the guys here who own muscle cars such as the ones i described are not likely to run an evo. They either dont think the evo has what it takes and it is a waste of time and gas or they dont want to be video taped getting raped by a 4 cyl...lol

I agree there are many unknown variables, but he (SS) knows what he's up against and still wants to run for 5 large. I'd say he's probably pretty close to the Mach. Hell there are stock lower C5's at ECS and A&A putting down 600rwhp. I think they have alky kits though. It will be interesting to see what happens here.

Yes the Mach would be a hand full to launch, should be interesting. On the street, more power means more loses from a dig, unless your set up right and can drive the sh#$t out of her.

i say the camaro whipes the floor with the mach. hp #'s don't mean all that much when one is stick and one is a stalled auto, but the camaro's short times DO mean alot. if the mach was a stalled auto then i may be singing a different song but i say the camaro out launches it and stays there. for cars with that much power, 1/4 mile is a VERY SHORT distance to make up ground if one car can launch alot harder.

that mach is crazy though. video goddamit!

ive seen the dyno chart for that mach i think. if its the right one, it isnt just peak power, the torque is almost flat and the hp doesnt resemble that of a supra's dyno.

It's hard for me to guess what will happen if the Mach is on a DR and going from a dead dig. I've heard of it racing some pretty serious cars in Detroit from a roll and cleaning house, but this is a whole different ballgame

I wanna hear more about the SS, it seems the Mach's power and mods are common knowledge so what has this thing got that makes him certain enough he can bet 5 grand on the race. If I were the Mach guy it be worried about how tight lipped everything is about the power of the camaro.
