well i just rode in the car and its not a 9n sec. car. its putting down 450 whp. not 9 sec. territory but pretty damn fast. he only has street tires on at this point so he has 0 traction but its damn fast. it is a turboed gsr motor like brandon said. it has a gt30r turbo or something like that. he plans on putting a much bigger turbo, a dart block and run race gas which he says will put him around 700fwhp. pretty insane. i just thought i would keep you guys updated on it.

I believe the fastest type r integra ran a mid 10. So imagine all the money to make the fastest one there is. He probably runs 13s at best. Also, if he ran it to a 9 or 10 it would ahve to have a roll cage I believe.

Either way , until you see the dyno sheet or this guys got alot of cash laying around to just whip out $35k for mods. Most guys or gals cant and cannot even get loans for such a thing. Unless he paid $45k and up for this type R with supposed mods already on it. I know a guy in Florida who owns a Subaru, He only makes $30k a year, but says he has all this money in his car and puts out 500 to the wheels, and gets these great deals, BUT he still wont take to the track and prove his Shi!@#$. Funny, very funny. yes there are imports that have alot of money put into them, but not so many as they say.

450 whp isnt so impressive everybody these days have some sort of dyno queen 400 or s#. He better be putting alot more money into the baby if he expects 700 without blowing her up. Good luck eitherway, and he needs to take it to the track and prove the numbers, tracks dont lie.

thats what i said but it doesnt have a cage in it so he cant take it to the track. i guess it has never been to the track but he does have a dyno sheet. i mean, aparently the guy put 35000 i the motor alone. my brothers friend just paid 25000 cash for it, with everything done to it already. its a nice lookin motor. he says the block is sleeved and all kinds of stuff.either way, its not running nines, maybe tens with some slicks.

damn thats not as good as i thought it would be. if an ls1 was putting down 450, it would be in the 11's too right? but it ways much more so how can that be. if 2 cars have the same power, but one is almost 1000 pounds less, how will they be running the same times?

My good friend had a Type R with about 450-500 to the wheels and with no traction he went 12.00's@125mph, he took the motor out and put it in his 2200lb hatch Civic and his best time with slicks (really a race car) is 9.80@155mph, but he's mostly in the low 10's! Peaky power peaks, High rpms' (less torque),and low traction make ricers need a lot of Hp to run good ET's. That type R is runnig 9's in the 1/8 maybe! PS It has to be a aftermarket Turbo because they don't come turbocharged!

he would either need to be pushing 80psi like everyother ricer thats decently quick out there, or he could just drop an ls1 in it with some other **** and convert to rwd.
