That was a sick *** race....Traction shouldnt be a problem from a roll like that, even from a stop they run high 11's on the track with very lil wheel spin.
I may be wrong but is the Lambo turbo'd? I though I hear one spooling? Maybe tht would be the reason for the jump....I dont know, it sounded more like a SC....who cares...It was a good race and a good win for the vette....Nice stuff and good daylight footage!!

Keep the beer cold, the women HOT, and fuel to the fire!!

both cars are NA. No forced induction.

Just a big cubic inch small block V8 versues a small cubed V12

...this track is better.

a 700 rwhp C5 with forged 346 and 12psi of paxton against a lambo.

Its a V-10. The lambo is also awd and it may have tubi exhaust on it. The Gallardo sounds sweet with an entirely different tone then the Z.

The gallardo puts out 500 horse but the se version I think puts out 535 horse. The V10 is also 4961cc

I never said when, I know that they were on before the race, I don't care much for showboating though if that's what he was doing which is what it looked like. I've seen this vid before, nice to see the c6 z06 when I can.

Wow that Gallardo sounded sweet.

I was not surprised the new Z06 took it, GM did a great job and this is the finest Vette ever IMO.

Even though this was a sweet race I wonder how the new Z06 would do against the Gallardo's older brother (Mercielago)?

Either way, just amazing that these cars come stock like this.

The Murci comes stock with 580hp but it weighs alot but it is still faster in a straight line. The Z would get smoked in a stragight line but on a track the murci would get raped.

The video was on a straight hwy.... You saw it from both angles, the Lambo was beat... How can you say the Z would lose on a straight line race?

The speedos go to 200 i believe.. the needle looked to be at 170-180 or so. (i paused the video and looked at the angle of the needle)

^^ He's talking about the Z06 vs. a Muercielago, not the Z06 vs. Gallardo in this thread.
