Quick kill on an Evo

Quick kill on an Evo I saw an Evo VIII on the highway and he got next to me. Coming out of the toll booths, I was waiting for him at about 30 mph in 2nd gear. He caught up to me and I tried to time it so we were even. He got about a half a car jump and I reeled him in with no problem and topped out 2nd gear before I hit traffic in front of me. We lined up again at about 50 and I gave him the jump. He got about a 1-1 and 1/2 car lengths from the jump and I reeled him in, shifted into 3rd at about 5800 rpm (my redline is 6600) and put about 2 cars on him halfway through 3rd before I hit more traffic. I would have liked to get a full 40-120 or so race but it was too congested.
Not a great story but thought I'd share.

I couldn't tell much. He definitely hung with me a lot better than I was expecting him to. It sounded like he had an exhaust but once we were getting in it I couldn't hear a loud blow off valve or anything but my exhaust is really loud pand I had my passenger side window closed. He merged onto a different highway shortly after so I didn't get a chance to find out any more info. I wish I could have talked to him or something because it definitely had a surprising amount of grunt.
BTW, that's a sick quarter mile time for that mph in your sig. Looks like that AWD is doing it's job.

AWD is awsome if you launch good. I was either pulling 1.6 and 1.7 60ft's or 2.2 and 2.3 60ft's 
If he hung with you that well from a roll he must have some stuff done to it cause that is not an Evo's strong point unless you have cams or upgraded turbo.
You probably didn't hear a BOV cause Evo's use a recirculating BOV so they aren't that loud. To bad you couldn't talk to him though.
