To all of you saying a busa cant hit 8's stock go ahead and tell yourself that to make you feel better! I never said the bike was all stock! The only things done to my bike: lowered 1 1/2 inches in the rear, frame sliders, and the good part a 50 shot. 50 sohts not much but it helps and I still hit in the 8's and happy with that. And my buddies stock R1 hit 10.1 that day.
Remember Alaska raceway is one of the fastest tracks. The track is at sea level, the temp in the summer only gets between 65 and 75 degrees and the wind can only blow behind you or against you due to mountains on both sides. You can pretty much bet you will drop between a half or full sec alone.
As far as his cobra goes all he told me was its an 03 Blue convert Corbra with full bolt ons and 150 shot. Im thinking its making 520 without the shot. Dont know I havent seen the car yet!
I hate mustages and love to take them out with whatever I can!

being ridiculous.
You're talking about running a guy that maybe traps 130mph on a bike
that traps 166mph.
fyi...a "full bolt on" '03 Cobra is good for 520rwhp without nitrous. That
150shot is worth about 200hp and a **** load of torque.

a big wheel that's making a lot of noise around town. I think I can take her.

Well your race against the girl on the Big Wheels is probably just as fair a race as the busa vs cobra

Why would you even come here to ask such a stupid question? I'm sorry but it's a stupid frickin' question.
BTW- I did see a stock 04 cobra run a 9.675 at 142 mph. It was BONE STOCK! Turns out it had a "big wheel" motor under the hood.

I'm sorry but a busa can't go 8s stock. A few years ago there was a $20,000 bounty out for anyone that could do it, the closest anybody got on a 100% stock busa was a 9.5.

Well if somebody can't ride, a turbo busa can be stuck in the 9s even. Then there are the awesome riders that keep the motor stock with boltons, gear it, strap and slam it, and put it on an arm and get into the 8s.
