The one with 180 more WHP? How high are you going?

Is this really real or is it a hypothetical rece between non-existant cars? If it is reallt real, will it actually happen?

rx7s are LIGHT...it's hard to say. Just from what I've seen, an rx7 with a bone stock LS1 will go mid 12s. I would bet on you though.

Impressive, considering there are no 97 RX-7s that I'm aware of in the US.

like 2500 lbs (somewhere in that range) and by newer body style do you mean 95? If you have a procharged 408 i don't see you being beat...

There aren't, you can't get them in the country.

You need more info on the RX-7. RX-7.com's car made a little over 500 to the wheels and ran 9's, but of course it was set up for drag. With a little of 600 whp it ran 9.2.

How is his car set up? Tire? Port on the motor? A streetport with a Gt42R isn't going to spool too quick. Now a 1/2 bridge with a T51R SPL DBB and you could have some trouble with a guy that can drive.

R1's weigh around 2780 lbs. stock.

But is this real?

Try 11's. Guy did it with a completely stock motor, just an intake and exhaust. One guy ran 10's with just a cam.

no spare, no jack, i don't have the bose system and i have a carbon fiber hood and some misc. things, the old owner did a lot of misc. weight reduction, but the interior is complete. that's with half a tank of gas

edit: forgot to mention it's a base model - no sunroof, etc.

I got a 93 rx7 to do a ls1 swap, love the car, hate the motor.....But after the swap I'll keep it for a spare so when the b16 goes out on the mower I've got a replacement
