btw, nice kill...
how is the gearing better? don't they both use the same T-56 6-speed? or do they change the ratio. can't be the rear end, 6-speed f-bod's come with 3.42, and the gto's have 3.46. i doubt .04 will make that much of a difference, course at 100+ i could be wrong.

My Z28 is no where near stripped down. I have every option except traction control. That includes t-tops, leather, and power driver's seat. We had my car and my dad's GTO on the scale on the same day and that's what the difference was.

Also, I never said there weren't 350rwhp LS2 goats. I said I've never really seen one over 350 rwhp. Also, there's this little thing called driver error. It means that even if you have a faster car you can still lose.

Jeeze, why are GTO guys so defensive? Every time I've seen anyone post a GTO kill there's always at least one guy with one saying, "oh yeah, well..."

A similar thing happened to me. I raced a local guy with a 2004 GTO. His car had bolt-ons and a cam and made 388 rwhp. My Z28 has bolt-ons and makes 344 rwhp. I was alone in my car and he had his brother. Both of them weigh more than me and his goat outweighs my car by a good amount. We raced and it was real close until 3rd gear where I slowly started walking away. I told him my mods (all bolt-ons) and he was like, "damn, that's a fast car you got there". Then he goes on LS1GTO.com and posts the race and asks if they thought I had nitrous. Everyone one there said I definitally had to have it to beat him. I actually had to meet some local members and show them my car before they believed me that I was running NA. It's all about power to weight ratio.

It might have been a A4 GTO. The '05/06 GTO A4 dynos a little lower than the M6 doesn't it??

I'm sorry a '05/06 GTO is faster than a LS1 Camaro/Trans AM stock for stock. I've seen videos of it. Of course it wouldn't take many mods for the F-BOD to make up the difference but I've heard former F-BOD owners say their GTO is clearly faster. Get a tune to disable the torque management they have and they'll get much faster. S**t C5 Vette's have trouble with the 400 hp GTO's.

i would never say otherwise, that's a fact

is not been defensive, but i guess everyone has their own experiences, pretty much like you have... or just like when somebody post a mach1 kill, or a 03/04 cobra kill, expect their owners to share their own experiences against similar cars.
in my case i haven't raced one of those 3300lbs fbodies yet, either that or they were all bone stock, but frankly speaking, how many ls1 fbodies are still cruising around in bone stock trim??? besides, i know they weren't that loud when stock

Okay...I don't think that there is too much driver error that could be done at 100+ mph. Maybe he hit the brakes? :/ Anyways, some of y'all should write down what you are about to post and read at out loud to yourself and see if YOU even take yourself seriously. Thanks, Tim.

I havent raced any heavily modded GTOs around here but i have ran 4 all together the most modded one was a 2005 with exaust and intake. I have beaten all 4 that i have raced 2 were 04s and the other 2 were 05s. The 05 with intake and exaust hung right with me i believe he was an auto also. i still edged him out by a car. I would like to race one with maybe headers and exaust and intake and see if that about equals it out. I personally like how the goat drives we got an 04 in at my work and love the easy going drive to it. The interior is awsome. Just love my f-body more thast all.

Im SORRY dude yes the 05's are much faster than the 04 GTO's, but still not enough too BEAT a stock 01-02 Fbody with a GOOD driver. Im not saying that the F-body would DESTROY the GOAT, probably hang right with it. But having owned f-bodies, I would have to say that the Goat would loose.

Also show me ANY example of a STOCK 05 M6(good driver) goat BEATING a stock M6(good Driver) C5

I'm sorry, i have the 2005 NADA and a Trans Am is not listed the same as you are listing it from YOUR NADA...hrmmm? I;m not calling you a liar at all, but perhapse you have a different year NADA and they used different spec's? I have no idea, wierd. Also, how do you have an 06' value for the GTO? they dont have spec's in NADA out in the hard copy for 06' vehicles, NADA is always about 6 months or a year behind. like in my 05 hand book it only goes up to 04'...Wierd..... the formula for 02 is 3452 and the TA is 3499, the vert ta is 3623. Dunno where you got your #'s....
