I think(not bashing), that up until from 1996-2004 the GT sucked ***** big time. I test drove a 2000GT and the dealer was like " now that was fast,huh?", I said that I would be back later. I went and test drove a white 2000 Z28 6 sp. and it pulled twice as hard as that GT. I was nice and went back to the ford dealer and told him that I was going to go w/ the Z28, he said " your just gunna get beat by the stang boys then", I fired back w/ " go test drive one, then tell me that"......he shut up.

 

the 94+ mustangs sucked imho. after 93 ford failed to represent imho. in 93 GM soundly beat them with the new LT1 powered F-bods and that was that, ford was/is 50rwhp behind the rest of the way. I am 100% unbiased and own a ford simply b/c i like the fox's. Other than that , I dont care. Ford really made cars for "the average person" GM made them for "the purist (well, moreso)" that is why ford still sells the mustang and GM does not (currently). Ford targeted a larger audience, not through better performance, but through better advertising, more hype, and a less specialized products. BTW<99 was the year the mustang got hte PI heads, 96 was a joke.

As far as the 94 ups sucking.I can say yes and no.94~98 yes.99 ups no(lots of avantages)..
But im a guy that likes fast cars reguardless ford or chevy.

99+ from the factory was = to or less than to a 93 F-body...that sucks imho. It was equaled by its counterpart from half a decade ago...

 

Oh man, I remember these days. Everyone in town had a damn GT and wanted a piece of my then 1994 25th Anniversary LT1 A4 car. Funniest **** ever. I had cammed 94-95 Cobra's and GT's follow me home all the time, only to get raped. They would talk more $hit, I told them to meet me at the track. Then I would seriously put the own on them. An off-road H-pipe, 1-chamber flow and dumps will NOT beat an LT1, just don't work that way. Not my car anyway, that car was a freak stock and now has a cam, lol. Cannot wait for those guys to find out now what I have. Haven't talked to or seen them in a LONG time, but they will get a nice look at my *** end of the SS......for a second....lol!

Ya, it takes a lot of work to make a mustang compete with an LS1, I currently only feel about = to most of them and i have a shitload of stuff. About to go carbureted though, maybe that will add a few more pony's
