What does this have anything to do with thread starting post?

Heres an idea....next time you think of posting something, why dont you try to get a clue of what are you talking about?? Also post something relevant to what the thread is about...dont you think?...well maybe not.....
Maybe it's just cas i have a C5...But I have no problem beleaving a LS1 can pull a mach1 from a roll like that. I put many lenghts on them stock for stock in the 1/4 mile..
13.5 for my a4 2.73 and 13.9 for there fastest manuals...Seemed like a bit of carlenths just at 105 mph. If we had raced to 120 mph it would have probally really been 6 or so.
On paper the Mach 1 is very close to the Fbody (THROUGH THE 1/4 MILE) From a roll race of 60 mph ( right were the LS1 starts taking over) I can see a stock LS1 putting SEVERAL car lengths on a Mach1. I know my car did many times...
But once again I dont know if the rumors about C5's being better up top than the Fbody's due to arodynamics are the reason for this or not.
But never the less. Cut the guy some slack....
If the actual race ended at a 4 car differance, the winner will always say he won by 6 cars. The looser will always say he lost by two cars...In the heat of battle your mind will twist things to your advantage.
The first thing you think about when your killed is how you should have gotten a tune or changed the plugs.
When you do the killing you go at WOT a little more on the way home just to feel how powerful your car suddenly feels.
I beleave your story from a roll....But no way would I beleave it from a dead stop.

From a roll, the LS1 will dominate a stock Mach.
Machs that are driven the way they should be driven could very well have slipping clutches.
Or maybe he just wanted to see how he would do by not down-shifting. I remember a freind in a Ranger pickup who took the jump and thought it took me two gears to catch him. I kinda felt mean when I explained that I had stayed in 4th the whole time LOL.
Or maybe the guy just wanted to get into that lane like all the jerks I just commuted through, and he was not really racing.
Who knows.
