Turbo eclipse wanted some.
As I was merging from a right turn I see this white eclipse go by and do a blow off as he sees me. Well I went to pass him in the left lane after I merged and he sped up to get parallel with me. We both looked and each other and nodded at about 45-50mph or so. I dropped down to 3rd and let him get the jump before layin into the pedal. My nose was at the end of his door when I put pedal to metal and just walked by with ease up to about 87ish. He kinda looked dumbfounded when he heard my pipes, but he seemed cool...no ricer fly by or anything either.
I dont know what exact model he had but it has a seriously loud blow off valve.

Yes I have a 98 LS1 Trans Am vert. Lid, free ram air mod, Pacesetter LTs, custom y pipe, LM catback, Moser 12bolt w 4.11s, short throw hurst shifter w a spec 3 clutch.
Buncha suspension but thats irrelavant.

Nice kill.
Nice kill.
I said 87 B.c when I let off it was above 85 but not at 90. Rough guestimate

Nice kill. They can be damn fast, but it takes very decent mods to hang with an LS1 from a punch. Nice sportsmanship giving him the jump too. If he was surprised you probably were a great help in giving him an idea where he stands
And it sounds like a 2G. Very curvaceous, much like a 3000GT or MR2 or late model RX7? The 1Gs are much boxier/uglier IMHO 2Gs are harder to make fast compared to the 1G cars built untill '94, but they are really very very similar.

Well it doesnt look like diambo4life's. I believe it was a gen after that. It had the same kind of bodystyle as this http://www.plu.edu/~medinara/Eclipse%20long.jpg

IMHO, 1gs are not boxy, EVO's are. If I recall they have a C/D of ~0.27.
Also, a 1G looks much more like a 2nd gen MR2 than a 2G does. Most of the early 90 cars looked similar. Think pop up lights, wing style etc.
I agree though. 1G's are quicker/faster (waits for Quinn to interject.)

^ep, thats a 2G
Yeah Diambo, I guess your right, the 1Gs are more like an MR2T. But most people regard us as the ugly ones. I have a 1GB myself, 93 Laser. I love people asking WTF a Laser is 1Gs can clean up so nice though.
I love our CD. Its about as good as a road car gets hehe.

Whats wrong with a rolling refrigerator if you have the power! lol
By the way I really like the look of your car, pretty mean looking. Ive always liked the 1G DSM's and the "bang for buck" options they have. Hell I even have a 1G BOV on my Evo cause they hold boost better!

Thanks for liking my car. It's just lowered and has 17" wheels.
