"Ugh, LS1tech. 95% of the people on there worship the almighty small block and regard everything else as vastly inferior. I've dealt with them before and you can't have an intelligent conversation about anything that's not an LS1 leaving me to believe that they are all just fanboys. They need some more cool and intelligent people on there, but I guess they're just too hard to find among the V8 crowd. I always give forums some slack when it comes to being ignorant about everything other than what the forum is about, but they are just horrible."

I don't get it. Some of these people seem quite intelligent. but I dont know where they get this stuff. Ive found this place to be THE most popular site for car enthusiasts, as long as you're not flaming, trolling, or acting like a ricer. Heck, most people here respect cars for what they are, and dont dis' someone because of their taste, but rather their ignorance.. It's kinda like the morons on streetfire. "Don't argue with idiots, they only drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." I just wish it was possible to beat some sense into people..

Also as a few stated on that site that our LT1/LS1 cars are every where and are so common. I never every see any type of Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru and so on. I guess thouse type cars are very rare and hard to find.

I have been going to the wrong race tracks I guess. There is always way more Imports then there is Domestic cars.

That's funny about the common cars. I would say the only uncommon car manufacturers are Ferrari and Lamborghini. You have to admit, no matter how fast your LS1 is, a Ferrari is better. I can admit that. I love my LS1, but a Ferrari. Sure, they have small engines, but it is soo clean.

Sorry to get off track. I am going to go register on their form and talk some sense into them.

My car is lowered and it handles better then an fbody with the stock suspension. It feels like it sticks to the ground very very well. I thought my Mustang handled well but the camaro handles better.....

I just want to know who said that a C6 Z06 will take out a Carrera GT? Are they smoking crack? I believe the Carrera GT has 612hp, I could be wrong. OH WAIT! That's 112 more hp than the Z06, not to mention WAY cooler.

Go look at www.porsche.com. Horsepower isn't the ultimate rating for a car's performance. I've seen a 350HP Evo 8 kill a 600HP Z06 running 11s.

According to www.Porsche.com the Carrera GT does the following:

0-60: 3.8 seconds
1/4: 11.4 seconds

According to Car and Driver (It may be R&T ) the Z06 does the following:

0-60: 3.6 seconds

A video of a stock Z06 is on streetfire somewhere showing an 11 second 1/4.

I have tried to talk to those flamers before...there is not getting thru to them...I think most of them are about 12 or 13 years old and have never driven a car before and they sit at school and read their import magazines while fondling themselves. At the end of the day you just hope those people don't reproduce

Wow, I cant believe there is THAT much rice in one place...most of those guys are ******* retarded...They talk like a honda prelude is on the same level as say a bmw or mercedes...no its a crappy prelude. Sure f-bodies may not be of the "highest build quality" compared to say an m3 or such, but a ******* prelude is on the same level? Give me a break.

I think an 11 second Delorian would be the cooles car ever. Put in a Flux capacitor and all. WTF would see that coming?

Ricers are so ******* stupid. They ruin the sport of fast/cool cars. I don't know about anyone else, but if I drove a prelude or other ricer for whatever reason, I could never show it off or make it known on the internet. Why bring attention to such a peice of ******* ****? They are made to be daily driven, get good gas mileage and be reliable. Nothing more!

What gets me is...

The few "import" owners that admit that their cars may not be *quite* as fast in a straight line they handle better, therefore on a track (with corners) it will own an American v8 car.

I figure....as long as you don't like live on Pike Peak, your fine driving your car around on the streets.

I read in that thread about how going fast in a straight line is nothing compared to speeding through some turns.

In some ways true, but that is pretty dangerous to do on a public road....

Unlike giving it the occasional burst of throttle for fun.

Oh well... You can probably get a fbody to handle on par or better, with small sporty import for about 1k.

But I like japanese cars too.

Oh and one more thing...

V-8 >>> I4 sound-wise.

Ok, Strike! You are basing comparisons from Car and Driver. Just stop right there. You owned yourself.
