1nastyss, It's a shame yer way over on the right coast. Ya just haven't run into any decent Cobra's with peeps that can drive yet. Mine went 12.6@112 stock right down to the paper filter and eventually went 11.21@129 with CAI, CB, Tune, DR's and 4.10's on slicks. Hell, it wasn't even the fastest one in my neck of the woods.

Maybe your right, but the one i raced the other night didnt impress me at all, its a shame Ford had to blow a mustang before it could even come close to competing with the f-bodies.....Its all good....The best mod though, that any1 could have is the driver mod!!!!!!

Brilliant...so you're one of "those guys" huh? Congrat.

What's your thoughts on a stock N/A 281ci Mach 1 running neck and neck
with a stock N/A 346ci LS1? If happens everyday. Too bad GM had to
add all those extra cubes. Gimme a break already.

You must be one of those 12 second LS1 guys that actually thinks they're
fast. It's ok. I thought my LS1 was fast too. We all have to learn the hard way.

Exactly unit. There's so many cocky f-body guys that think all Mustangs are slow. The 4.6 2v's, yes in stock form, they are slow compared to LS1 f-bodys. The 4.6 4v's (99/01 Cobra; 03/04 Mach 1) however are a different story and it's really a drivers race for stock 4.6 4v's vs. stock LS1 f-bodys. Most f-body guys don't realize that or give them props, but all in all, it's a drivers race if they want to admit it or not.

Your right in a sense, So i guess your saying 100% of the stang drivers that me and my fellow f-body buddies have came across must really suck......i doubt it, but we do have plenty of track/street vids to prove it

I'm not a huge stang fan, but didn't the mach1's have a 3 valve design or am I thinking of the new GT's, I know the 04 and below were all 2V and the cobras are 4V......right???

Mach 1s have 32 valves just like the 03/04 cobras.

I had one ran 12.8@112 with Mac,CAI. I liked it but I broke a half-shaft after that, change of heart with the car after that happened,if I would have known now what I have known then I may still have it. But my buddy has one went 12.15@115 with cat-back,CAI,x-pipe and just made 505hp 515tq with a siegport blower, mod for mod you cant beat a 03-04 cobra i think, but I like my f-body's

03-04 Mach 1: 4.6L 4v (stock for stock, drivers race vs. LS1 f-body)
99/01 Cobra: 4.6L 4v (stock for stock, drivers race vs. LS1 f-body)
03-04 Cobra: 4.6L 4v S/C (stock for stock, f-body will lose)
99-04 GT: 4.6L 2v (stock for stock, GT has no chance)
05-06 GT: 4.6L 3v (stock for stock, GT will lose)

So do 96-98 and 99/01 Cobras. 4v's per cylinder.

I just rode in a cobra a few days ago with a pulley, intake, exhaust, and TB. All I can say is that I'm now deeply in love with cobras, and I can deny it no longer. That's right, I've decided to come out of the closet.

Na, I had a 97 Cobra I bought new back in the day. I threw a Vortech and exhaust on it, kept it 4yrs and dumped it for the Z06. Still have a Mustang (92GT vert) only has about 30k on it and is stock right down to the filter and it's begging for a 351 and a T-Trim. Had a 10sec. notchback before the Cobra, so no, I'm definatley not a hater. We both know why I rag on you a little, no need to re-hash. As for running into you (racing I assume) your car is undoubtedly faster than my Z06 which is near stock and only runs 12.0's @115. If straightline performance was my only concern I would have kept my Cobra and had Sean Hyland build a motor for it. Good Luck with your car and tell Unit I said Hi.
