the evans cooling mod. The aftermarket intercooler reservoirs are
a joke IMO. I'll be upgrading my cooling system soon.

Yeah an upgraded heat exchanger would be a must, especially a double pass through design. If I got a Cobra, I'd end up modding it in a backwards sequence. Cooling upgrades first, then exhaust with long tubes, tires, subframes, and poly mounts. Then it'd be time for a stage IV Eaton with a 2.76 upper and a 4lb lower. In essence, my goal would be a maxed out Eaton car while retaining stock ride quality and handling. If I could get ~ 550rwhp out of it spending $750 to mod the Eaton I'd be happy.
BTW, what's your best 1/4 time so far?

Launching!
what cam is to big is all someones opion. i know several guys who drive t-rex's in their daily driver. personally i didnt want to go that big and made the power i wanted on motor with a 232/232 600/600 114. dont listen to people who say something is just to big. my car drives fine with 3.42s and i lost no low end. the car will spin at 40 in 2nd on concrete roads. i had a 226 578 114 and it just didnt make enough power for me.
get what you like but a 23x cam with a 600 lift can be tuned with no problems to idle and drive. i was told by people go big with my first cam but the shop told me the little cam would make the power. the shop took care of me and changed the cam for free but not many shops do that kinda of stuff. in my opion though you are wasting time with a 22x cam.
go big and do it one time.

Headers are actually fairly cheap for cobra's, unless you have a kb running 18+psi, they might help more.

Yep, if they don't have a cooling mod. I don't know though. I did 5 or 6 pulls to 160 or better BEFORE the cooling mods with no issue. Afterwards, I raced an R1 where I redlined (7K) 5th before going to 6th for a little more. The speedo was well past 160 cause the speed limiter was disabled and the Rev limiter bumped to 7200. I really have no clue how fast I was running but I was starting to pull the bike before I ran outta room and nerve.
