Default Turbo hatchbacks on Highway

Last night I was itching to race somebody and I spotted a couple guys I know with turbo hatches. Word was they were pretty fast, i knew one of them was. One had the liscense plate "spool" and I'd been wanting some of that for a while. He rolled up and I tell him I'm good for 12's and got the "think so?" reply, "know so, did it last friday "

So we roll onto the highway and go from about a 45 roll. Through 2nd I jump out by a couple cars. As we start going faster around 80 one of them really starts screaming (not sure if i was sprayed or not) and he starts pulling real hard and ends up passing me before I had to let off around 110-115.

So I lost to a hatchback Atleast it was a legit one.

The spray has a sound you just can't miss. Same as a bov. I think they are easily identified. Just get a bottle for next time.

He was falling behind and he just started making loud noise like spray makes, although I didnt think he had spray on the car. He's sneaky though. Then he FLEW by.

"Spray" makes a sound on a Honda? Probably just the turbo. Once he got spooled good it took off.....

This all comes from Wesmanw02, a respectable muscle car owner who had a stock F-body, telling me my LS1 RX-7 is a piece of ****.

Yay to you, Wesmanw02!
Yeah wesman is a ***, I dont think he ever even owned an LS1.

The only way you would know if you were sprayed or not is if they told you later imho. Either that or if he just took off and the motor IMMEDIATELY changed pitch (not VTEC).

Might be a monster turbo that doesnt really hit untill 3rd. Some FWD guys do it that way because they can't hook easaly in 1st and 2nd anyway. That would explain the sound.

Every car with spray ive ridden in I can hear it. Everytime a car sprays at the track I can hear it?

I think it was just his turbo, as I dont think he has N2O but that thing started screaming. We were in our gears when we took off, so its not like we were starting from idle.
