Default ~*Slaughtered by EVO 8*~

Driving home from work and a silver EVO gets behind me, whats really in the mood to play cuz I got sent home from work because I was late yesterday. But I was in the mood to get home. Well, eventually we line up going about 65 or so and I stomp and he easily caught and pulled a couple cars on me fast, extremely fast lol. Later we tried from a 45mph roll and he yelled that he was in 5th and I downshifted my auto into 2nd gear, Once again he owned me by a couple cars quickly. Later I pulled in my APT and he came in also. Talked cars for a bit with him and he said he was running about 450 HP at the wheels. Huge turbo etc....Turns out he works in another building at the plant I'm at and he is also on LS1tech.com So maybe he'll see this and post.

No frickin way a V8 domestic lost to a 4-banger sedan ricer import toolbox. You obviously just weren't racing.

Did he mention which turbo he was running? It likely is pretty damn big, the stock turbo kicks *** but runs out of steam around 400 and even a 50trim must be well tuned to get that kind of power. Probably a GT30 or something.

Most V8 guys think the turbos 4cyc run are huge, when in reality there not. A 50trim is considerd small and nothing crazy and 60trims are getting to be a norm in the DSM world. Anything bigger than a 60trim is when you can start calling it a huge turbo....

hey you cant beat money man and thats all that evo was.....i like cars like the sti and evo and some of the old school turbo cars ie.3kgt,supra and rx7 but i LOVE v8s and the f-bodys

but anything can be fast for a price

Good story, but the Evo guy sounds like a typical ricer bullshitter. A claimed 450HP and he could only put 2 cars on a stock (besides exhaust) automatic LS1?? Sounds like he was exaggerating. Had he lost, I'm sure he would have made some excuse of his his turbo wasn't spooling or his "MIVEC" wasn't working. I hate ricers.

Based on what you're said, if you had an M6 and 4.10 gears, you would have destroyed that "450HP" Evo.

Hey nice death dude. Dont feel bad I got whooped by a stage 3 srt-4 once when i was all stock. I felt like crap especially when I looked online to see how much he spent. Mopar has cheap parts. Thats a cool car like the EVO and the WRX. Ahh one more I wouldnt mind having if they actually make a Pontiac Solstice with a turbo around 300 HP I am down I saw one today that is a nice little ride. It could be the poor mans corvette. Yo whats uo with velocity I dont like all 4 bangers but an EVO is Legit Velocity. Those suckers are fast. Its not a family car.

lol that was a funny post. I dont beleive that one about the family car but an EVO those things are fast sorry velocity you need to mellow out a little dude. WOOSAAAH like in bad boys part 2.

Blah..blah..blah, now are we bench racing his kill story now? He raced, he lost - end of story. It's all about the game. You win some you lose others. He just needs to make his car faster. That's what "we" do as enthusiasts. Aim to get better. I give him points for stating a kill of his f-body by an import on this forum.

Time for more mods.

dont worry about it. Just get some mods on there, correctly chosen cam with appropiate stall and you'd do alot better. Trust me, good friend of mine has a Evo8 w/482awhp and i was able to take him. Just takes some mods and you'll be alright. Take it as motivation to mod more!!

^^^ He was in 5th gear(thats what he said) at 45mph and I was in second and he pulled 2 cars on me quick wasn't watching my speed but maybe up to about 65mph. He had me, mine is just an auto with Exhaust. He said he also has a 95 LT1 T/A and like I said he posts on this board name is like superspy something or sly i can't remember.

Thanks... You are very reliable. I knew it'd be a matter of time before you would come in and try to find a way to put this EVO down for ABSOLUTELY no reason!!! Very predictable. BTW, good benchracing with the "Had he lost..." Lame.

Yeah, but it's a BS kill...

Remember? According to the experienced wisdom of Wesman, the EVO driver was lying about his mods due to the small amount of cars he pulled, "exagerrating." Therefore, the story is open to intense hypotheticals and scrutiny in favor of the LS1.
