That thread is hilarous. 13 pages of crap but it gets rather funny at times I could't stop reading. I don't get the big fuss I could car less if someone came in this forum and posted up a kill on a LS1 assuming it was true and not total bs, like a stock civic vs SS then i would have to call BS. Its funny how my car has 73k on it and the only parts that i've had to replace were air pump and a window motor, I guess $150 in repairs in 6 years makes it a peice of american junk. Don't forget there car is worth more WTF why would you be proud that your car cost more and is slower. I also love the comments on come to the twisties and i'll smoke you. Why do people think our cars are so bad at cornering? There really not bad at all and 99% of those fools have never driven a road course or even and autocross event in there life. Just because a certain car and pull 1g on a skid pad does't mean you can. Road courses are 90% driver 10% car, if you don't have the skill to drive the car you will lose. I just don't get how people can be so close minded the thread started was a regular on that board its not like he was trolling and just throwing it in there face.

i auto crossed with a S2000 for 2 years. autocrossed with the BMW club, taking 2nd in an S2000, 8th overall for the year out 60+ drivers. autocrossed with the porsche club and SCCA doing very well in both, porsche club i would come in the top 10, normally 7 or 8.

when i took the stock S2000 to what i thought was the limit of the car based upon my driving style, i started doing small mods to it, most suspension for better handling, some brake upgrades, tried different tires, sizes, compounds and wheel size combo's.

i kicked some major *** in that little car on the road course at TMS. when i added the blower i could stay with modded C5's, TT911's, carrera S4's, these guys were shocked with my entry and exit speeds flying in and out of corners, getting on the brakes and carrying the speed thru the corner and powering out, in that car keeping the RPMS over 6200 was key.

BUT since buying the Z06 i havent been back, just dont have the time for it anymore. i might try this year just to see how the car reacts and how well i do after taking a 2 year break from auto-x.

BUT in 2003 when i went to Ennis, Tx and ran the S2000 with a vortech blower i did beat(by a nose) a cam only camaro of that era('03), C5's and other low 13 second cars, evo's, sti and a few turbo integra's. i would run anything i could just to get the practice, including a pro mod mustang, receiving an *** whipping of a lifetime. i pulled off a 13.3@106 with the blower 297whp 187wtq in a 2715lbs car, official weigh in at the solo 2 scca competition.

without the blower my car ran between 14.0-14.333 worst time

2 weeks prior to the blower install i went to Ennis TX NHRA sanctioned 1/4 mile track, i wanted to see what my before and after times were. the 350Z club cam out, this is when the 350Z was just released summer of '03. I was the only S2000 out there, so they thought they were going to give me a beating. ended up knocking them down one by one all the thru all 9 350z owner's to the point that none of them wanted to run me anymore and they started running each other. it was a fun night that ended with a blow to 9 brand new 350z owners ego bashed in. not bragging about my times because those are slow as crap. but for a stock S2000 all the magazine articles claimed high 14's at best avg low 15.

i had many other 350z bashing's on the track at TMS. This is where the 350z was suppose to out perform the S2000 and didnt with me driving at least.

bottom line driver does make a huge difference. not bragging but i did prove in many venues that i was a good driver in a S2000.

Hmph. I remember when they started that site. They were all cutting up F-bodies and talking about how superior their new 350z's were. Rrrrriiiiiiiiight. I started to post some numbers on the WS6 versus the 350z and they began to panick. When they got tired of me rubbing their faces in it they banned me.

Hot heads man thats all it was. Usually if you keep reading the forum most of the guys stop replying and it's just like 4 people that keep it going between themselves. Since I own the car I know a few people who have it as well. I can say that if I have met 50 other 350 owners only like two or three of them I would consider douchebags. Lots of times I see other 350 owners put people like those on that forum in check and be like dude it's a nice car but it's not a Ferrari. It comes with every car, I mean I know so many SRT-4 owners who talk trash about cars that are six classes above them......EGO's

ill say this, F-body owners arent nice either & can be douchebags. i have a z06 for 2 years, im young, most look at me like im a spoiled rich kid not knowing im older than i look and have had a solid career for the last 10 years. new to the domestic car scene id pull up around a bunch of american muscle and i would get black balled from the get go, snarls and stares. most of these guys wouldnt say anything so i would go up and talk to the guys anyway. most of you guys are really cool and know your **** for sure, but at first come off being dicks.

there is one fast srt-4 down here, kicked my *** last summer, posted the video and started all kinds of **** about beating a ATI procharged Z06. after i got the car retuned no MAF p codes throwing left and right like a paper boy on a sunday morning. i accidentally ran into him at a sonic, everyone there was demanding us to rematch, he says "im not prepared" my car "is on low boost tonight".... bullshit... we raced, i smashed him by a bus length. where's the video? no where to be found.... we met up the very next night, he is on drag radials, 24-27 psi and i still stomped his ***, he accuses me of having N20 on my car.... yeah where? i popped the hood. then he says well i wasnt ever fully in the throttle, tune, blah, blah, he was a hero to the SRT4 crowd for about 2 weeks. no more **** talking since... he blew his motor its being rebuilt now. i blew mine, sold the blower and ive got a 403ci being installed next month. lol.

I mean how many cars on the market today that you can take 500-1,800k an make a 12 sec car or faster. You avrage F-body will sell between 6-17k. How hard is it to make it a 12sec car really?? Now look at the cobra hell 1300k will net you 12 or better. If I was a import guy Im sure i will find a 240 sx or old supra-87 model or honda crx etc and put way more money In it to hit 12 sec in it. Come on guys people hate because domestics run **** on the streets As far as the 350zs they would need a big mod to hang with a domestic. The SRT 4 hell stage 2 runs less than 2k and will net you low 13 high 12 driver depended. But if that was an Evo 8 forum then its more realistic because a 1500k on an Evo may net you low 12 sec. But in all hands down domestics will all ways run the streets

that **** really pisses me off that they think that a SS cant run them in the twisties. If they would simply review the class for SCCA SOLO events they would see that they are in a lower class and if they searched for the skid ratings on the cars they would see that
the .87 that the SS makes and the .88 which the Z makes is not enough to make up for the lack of speed that it presents.

why cant people look at cars for what they are and not where they were made.

well that might not be so true. I love my TA and would not trade it for any piece of jap crap. just mad sorry if i sound like a redneck and dont get me wrong the Z is not a bad car but give credit where credit is due.
