I think it would be close with me not spraying.

Now there's a good post.

However, I'm fairly confident in my car and my abilities...as most of us are.

Sure...but never with the KB. There are thousands of cars in
my area that will destroy me though. I'm not foolish enough to
think I can beat everyone. 10 second cars are a dime a dozen
around here.

I think UNIT would take the Termin8r car. It is a stock block car with boltons and a bigass shot. We are still talking about that car right? Oh yeah, and a sick cam.

Hey,if you guys keep bench racing, that UNIT dude will lock the thread!!

Confused, why does your car do so poorly at the track? Are you at some real high elevation? I would think your would run 125+ pretty easy off the bottle with your setup..My friend has a 6-speed 382 with LS6 ported heads, LPE GT3 cam, full boltons/suspension, drag radials, etc. Moser 12 bolt and 4.10's and runs 11.49 at 122 at a fairly shitty track...no flaming just curious. Hell, I still haven't gotten to the track with my new setup and just put the solenoids on today.

WHat plugs/gap do you use on the 250 shot...-7 NGK's?

UNIT...a buddy of mine has a car set up real close to yours...03 Cobra, 2.2 KB, full bolt ons, exhaust, cam, upgraded fuel system, solid rear and LOTS of suspension, lightened suspension, dynabat battery (says it weights 3400 lbs!), etc. plus a nitrous kit. It runs 605 rwhp and 560 torque on pump gas "hot tune" without the nitrous. He got 1.4X short times last year with the bottle....we ran from a kick and it was pretty much dead even with both of us off the bottle...He plans on spraying the 75 shot only this year. His twin intank pumps aren't keeping up, so he is going with a sumped tank and Aermotive 1000 external....what fuel system do you use?

I wouldn't say it's performing poorly, but that 408 definitely has
more potential that bottom 12's at low 120's. The ET doesn't really
bother me a whole lot. It's probably not setup for the track. 120mph
traps are good for 11.50's no problem with traction. I would be
more concerned with the "low" trap speed. I would expect 125mph
from that 408 assuming you're making around 500rwhp.

Another good question. I'm only running TR6's. I need a colder plug though.
I would hope you're at least running a TR6.

NGK's are POO! I know that will start the arguements but I use Autolite 5243's. I gap at 35. My tuner (who is argueably one of the best in the nation) recomended I dont use the NGK product do to issues it causes hiom to have tuning.
I cant get any good ET's because of my 10bolt and rubber. Kumho Ecsta Supra's. I traded my Strange 12bolt away to get a forged T56 rated to 1000 rwhp. SO I race on radials for now. I have not rolled with a nitrous bottle in a long time. It would be useless almost. The track here has average air.
As far as bench racing with UNIT goes I would win BABEEEEEE No one can out bench race MEEEEEE!LOL

OH yeah I am shifting by ear for now. My lazy *** needs to put in the Monster Tach with shift light. IF you LS1 guys dont know.............do not trust your factory tach! I saw with my own eyes when I dynoed. It was 600-800 off at higher RPM's.
My car is far from being finished. I bought her from Necrocannible here and he put the motor in it. I have modified the motor to be more powerful. It was his daily.. Now I am going to get the suspension dialed in. That is if I quit breaking ****.

I don't have any issues with NGK's. Use whatever works for you ya know.
Mine are gapped at 24 FWIW. I was gettin spark blowout. I'm sure I could
open them up a bit though.

...and there you have it folks. Now the low 12's makes sense.
You'll grenade that 10 bolt quick with a tire out back.

Yipp sure will. I will figure out how to launch this thing with what I have. I know I can hit the 11's. Hell I went 12.05 once. But there was fresh VHT from a guy that went before me. I have to take what I can get. Funny is everyone accuses me of not being able to drive. The few I have let drive the car quickly shut up about it. If I had a a better radial I am sure my 11's would be easier to achieve.

Side note: I cant ******* believe I have to pray for 11's!

I bet you would actually be quicker in terms of ET with 100rwhp less.
It's not always about making more power. Using it effectively and putting
all of it to the ground is what it's all about. I'm sorting through the same
issues so don't sweat it. I think a new clutch is in order and tires. I should
be good for 1.5x short times after that.

I hear you...trust me! It sucks sometimes. You've already got the power
and the tranny. You just need some hook!

True. I am having it handed to me at the track by cars just as you described. I would have alot more done if it wasnt for the tranny going out. Hell I dont even have subframe conectors yet!LOL I am doing no more motor mods for a while. I am satisfied with what I have for now. I need a 9 inch.

Well if we run from a roll you'll murder me. From a dig, you'll still pull me as soon as you hook. The question is when will that be. But anyway let me know before you make your way down here.
