......... God I love telling people that! Technically it is the truth. I was at Sonic last night hanging out with everyone. There was a new car I hadn't seen before there. Acouple of guys in a 04 Cobra. Bright red a very pretty.
I had just come in from another miserable night at the track. (I still dont know why I do it to myself) Everyone asked me what I ran. I responded 12.2.(121mph NA LOL) The guys in the Cobra where listening to all this. I could read thier faces and new they wanted to bitch slap me on the road.
So the night goes on and I am out running the strip when I see a car flip a mad U turn out behind me. I tell my buddy it looks like a Cobra. SHO nuff it was. The red shiney one.
The plates where from Virginia and the tag read VNMOUS. I love love love those tags. So I let him get in front of me and we head towards the highway. Obviously the guy was visiting and his friend was from here. They took the path we all go to get on and race.
Now what I dont understand is why people who want to race you get on the highway and just hit it. I gave chase a little only to the point I started pulling then backed off. He was about 6 cars up.
After a minute or so they back down to 40mph and put me in a real good power band. I give hime the punch and crawl up his *** almost immediately. I take the car to about 120mph and back off. I figured 5 cars was good for me.
The guys where real cool about it and pull next to me with smiles on thier faces and thumbs up from both. I give them the thumbs up and they take a different exit. Thier car ran damn good though and was loud as hell. I wish I knew the mods. It was a NA run for me.

I will give it to the guys who drive them. They are game. I tried to get several Vetts to race. They just want to look purdy I guess.

Yeah only nine. I have only had the car back together for a few weeks and have only owned it 5 months. I bet I have drive it about 2 months of that.

The funny thing is that it's only 4 hours of drive time for some reason.

Wait until I get a better camera. We had a camera but the guy that was with me didnt bring it. I was just giving him a ride and didnt plan on a race happening. I wish I filmed it. There will be many more to come though Wayne. Oh yeah I love the car!

I think it would be a good run depending on what unit sprays. You guys have no idea how violent both cars can be. It would be very hard to just openly say "so and so would win".
