I finally feel what you LT1 owners feel when a LS1 beats ya. I have owned my 01 t/a for the past 5 years and its a straight bolt on car, dynoing 350 to the rear wheels. Well with the weather getting warmer alot of cars are waking up from the winter sleep. I was in my 94 LT1 with just a cold air intake installed and 98 SS muffler. Being my everyday car, I thought it had some ***** its a A4 with that performace tranny button and all. I lined up with a ls1 a4 ws6, that seemed stock with a guy driving it heads up at a light. When it went green we Launched and before the lt1 hit 2nd the ls1 had me by 2 cars and just kept pulling. I was like wow my lt1 didnt seem so fast anymore LOL. I guess I was used to my 01 and didnt realize that it is indeed rather quick compared to a stock LT1. I thought I would do alot better. It was fun no doubt, but i guess thats might happen again if I go after a C6 with my 01 t/a.

 

He had to be modded or something. My A4 LT1 would pull mildly modded LS1's until about 50 mph or so, then they walked

 

i dunno that sounds about right i have a m6 ls1 and i pull about two on my buddies a4 lt1

 

ya i beat lt1's in my grand prix gtp with just a few mods. then i bought an ls1 for a DD

 

I havent even driven my LT1 since i got my LS1. Its apart and has been apart for months.Just waiting on my slow *** to order new Opti and waterpump and crank Pulley. I really miss driving her though.
