well i had just left a local shop where i got my new c6 zo6 wheels mounted...im sitting at a stop light checking out a hot chick in a nissan 350z when i hear soome loud exhaust!!!its obvious that it was a stang!! i start glancing back and i cant see anything in the string of traffic behind me...light turn and i ease off from the light hoping to see what is lurking behind me...all of a sudden i see an orange bumper of an 03/04 cobra...uhhh oh....i think this could be good or it could be bad....i open my botltle and purge my lines a few times before he gets close enough to see or hear....he gets in the lane beside me and i keep slowing leting traffic pass me...he knows im game...he gets beside me and throws a few revs my way...i nod and stay cruising beside him waiting on traffic to clear for a nice long lil run....well i notice the stop light up ahead is red and nobody is in front of us...we pull up and he asks if i want to run...i say sure....he nods gives me a thumbs up and rolls his window back up...light hits green and we go....i pull about a car through 1st....we both have traction issues...his are a lil worse even with his meaty nitto 555r's on the back...anyways i pull through 1st...he pulls back up a lil bit 2nd i pull a lil more...shut it down bout 70 and im lil over a car up on him....we get another light...this time we are behind a few cars and i ask him if he wants to go again..says no he has already passed up his turn...gives me the thumbs up and right before he turns off he points won at my wheels and gives me another thumbs up!!...all i know for sure i exhaust and fat *** nittos

 

Those orange cobras look super good, my favorite color on those cars actually. Well you sure had to be happy about your purchase when your getting thumbs up on em on the way back home! Good kill on a terminator!!

the cobra owner is on a local mustang board...his mods are as follows..
Magnaflow catback/K&N FIPK/Ported throttle body/Motive 4:10's/MAF/SCT Tune

 

Good kill! Damb. you have some good 1/8 mile times for the mods you got.
What type of tire did you run?

 

I thought Unit said 4:10's were stupid for a Cobra..?

Nice kill, too bad you guys couldnt have gone longer but w/his mods you would have held him off. Nice.

 

I believe I said 4.30's or 4.56's were a bad idea. A 4.10 gear is on the
edge of being too much. It's also dependent upon the tire. There's nothing
wrong with a 4.10. It's just too much for me since I'm on a 26" inch tire
and I don't want to hit 5th in the 1/4 mile.

I just finished installing a set of motive 4.10's in my cobra and I can tell you from a roll, the 4.10's have absolutly no advantage over stock gears. But from a roll with drag radials or from a stop, big difference.

Haven't made up my mind if 4.10's are worth it in the cobra. I will find out sunday at the track.
