Default Two slingshots went down

I finished detailing my car and I decided to go for a drive at about 1 AM today (last night).

The streets were nearly empty last night. It was wonderful. First, there was a group of ricers (Neon'd Camry all around, four door four banger GIANT wing'd Accord, and an old Civic with aftermarket taillights) in my way raaaaacin' like angry bumblebees while I stayed right behind them shifting from first to third to fifth. I got around them and thought that there'd be nothing good out. I usually either get smoked by some insane car or it's this... Tonight would be different.

First run: Some dude in a shiny black G35 that's loud as **** starts tailgating me... Apparently, that's how people instigate now... I always thought driving up next to someone and giving a nod, greeting, rev, etc. was appropriate but times have changed. Anyway, he swings around hard while we're going around 20 mph and I underestimate him, neglecting to downshift (left it in third). Well, being in first for sure, he gets RIGHT next me, front bumper to front bumper when I hit my sweet spot at 3500 rpm, full boost. Instantly, I started pulling him, shifted to fourth, and shut off 80 mph or so... No point in participating in the max. speed competition. He does a little flyby and stops 4 or 5 cars ahead of me, slowing down. He's down to keep ******* around, so I downshift back to third and pull up next to him at about a 40 roll. As soon as I line up, he drops the hammer immediately and pulls half a car on me. I gun it, shift to fourth, and in about 1 1/2 seconds I get 2 or 3 cars on him at about 80 again, and I shut down right away... No flyby this time from the dude.

Second run: By now the turbo was warmed up and the intercooler was primed and cooled by some fast air... Car was running GOOD (In my head maybe ). A blue M3 (the body style right before the one out now), hooks a left on the intersection I'm running through and pulls up right behind me. I had no more intentions of pushing my luck tonight, but the same thing again... The guy swings around HARD flooring it, engine screaming loud. I floor it in second WAY after, wind it out, and stop his slingshot when I shift into third. I wind out third and put half a car on him. Then I shifted nasty into fourth (I usually granny shift) unintentionally and chirp the tires to my surprise (Nitto DR's). I run through fourth a little bit and put about two cars on him and shut down at around 90 or so... Much better race than the last (G35). He does no flyby. He just pulls up next to me again and lines up. I see cars ahead, I know I'm pushing my luck as I saw MANY speed traps that night, and I decide to call it a night. He guns it next to me and jumps, taking off ahead... A chase is a race so I don't even touch the gas, stayed right at 35 mph.

I don't know what mods these cars had at all...

I got popped by a laser on the way back home (Escort radar), but I was going 40 mph. My dipstick had popped out half an inch, so I pushed in back in, checked my oil, cleaned some tire dust off of the rear quarter panels, and had a Margarita before going to sleep (LOTS of Tequila still leftover).

I've been getting my *** handed to me by some Mustangs and tied with a red C5 Z06 recently. Tonight, I had fun, didn't break too many laws (most I went was 90 for one second), and walked some cars for a change. The other drivers may or may not have thought I was a dick... I had my tinted windows up because I had just washed, claybarred, polished, waxed, etc. and I don't like to roll them down for at least another day (moisture trapped around the weatherstripping inside the door will leave a mark on the window... Yes, I'm **** after eight hours of cleaning). I never gave the people a thumbs-up or talked to any of them... Any other day and I would've had my top down, chilling (top was still moist, too).

I thought I took them pretty easy... all in one gear or two. Each "run" lasted 1 to 2 seconds between 35-40 to 80-90 mph... Mini-runs I guess.

I just didn't find a point in going over 5 seconds full throttle to 130-140 with these cars... Now if it was a little closer...

The G35 could not have been stock. The M3 was not stock I'm almost sure, and the G35 was almost just as fast. That G35 would have given me a run for my money when I was stock.

I don't have crazy boost BTW. I run 7 lbs. ~475 rwhp in a HEAVY-*** 'vert with alot of heavy suspension components and a 12-bolt.

I promise I was NOT looking for trouble... No, not me!

I was just driving around, minding my own business...

When the boost spikes to 8/8.5 (every day I drive the car ), ~480 rwhp or so.
