My M6 Firehawk bone stock down to the paper filter ran 13.3 @ 107.8 mph with a disgusting 2.23 60 foot. (lack of traction on street tires)
My car loves to be spun and now with all the mods making 420 rwhp N/A it's an absolute beast up top.
This is an LS1 you won't be seeing in your mirror.

Who knows, im really depressed though, No WAY my setup should only trap 100 mph. But he was dead even w/me from a 20-100 roll (friend's S10). As SOON as I get the carb on it, I will be taking her to the strip

look at the Reaction Time. There's your difference!

my old ls1 bone stock went ONE 13.8 @ 102mph, then 14's @ 101 or 100mph. i put a thermostat, fan switch, and a lid on it and it went 13.40's @ 104mph consistently.
so yes, they can be pretty slow in stock form,- especially in the 2.73 variety but like said the 215-225*coolant temps i think is the real killer.

I'll just chime in to confirm that autos come with either a 2.73 or a 3.23, not
3.42's...just for clarification sake.
My '00 A4 Z28 went 13.67 @ 105mph if I recall correctly. That was 6 years
ago now.

Also, for a previous poster, reaction time has nothing to do with your ET.

If you easily beat one from a roll it may be driver, or their car isn't running right. Or that they went from a dead spot in the gearing. The 3.23 cars seem to suffer dead spots more so than the 2.73 cars due to the speeds that many people street race.
SOTP a LS1 (2.73) will pull really well upto ~120mph, still pull good to 140mph then it's a bit slower from 140mph to the 158mph limiter but it's still pulling, if you remove the speed limiter I feel pretty sure you'd see the high side of 165mph before you completely run out of rpms.

I am the s10 owner and figured I would post up. I ran a 13.611 @ 100.7. The breakdown of the slip is as follows:
R/T .006
60' 2.056
330 5.724
1/8 8.746
mph 81.06
1000 11.376
1/4 13.611
mph 100.7
My truck falls on its face after 100 but I would have liked to have a sub-13.5 run. Maybe next time.

Just thought I'd chime in. Best time is in sig. That was on 245 street tires with a 1.95 60'. I think its a pretty good trap for an A4 w/ 2.73s for the few mods it has.
