I killed that A4 LS1 Z28 00' as listed in my "ate a catfish" post. My friend Joey with his S10 and a 350 hung DEAD with me from 20-105 roll race. THen at the track he ran 13.6@100.7 Do ls1 a4'S trap high 90's or something!?!? Whats the deal!?

most of them trap above 100, so idk what happened there. Maybe the driver? And stock ls1s run 13.4-13.8s so your friends is on par with a stock ls1.

My friend cut a 2.0 60' time and some ppl are saying that had his 60' been crappier his mph would have been higher? He did hook pretty good, and from a roll his 60' wouldng matter, could his good hooking be masking his true mph? Im confused

A4s seem to trap around 104, so they don't trap incredibly high. Your buddy may have had a higher MPH if he spun, maybe not. If he was on slicks/DRs then that will slow him down too compared to street shoes.

Dont know the guy with the LS1 other than "that thing in my mirror" and my friends S10 was on 295 GLS crappy street tires, but he dead hooked every time even though he stalled it up to 1800. I am wondering if dead hooking cost him a few mph, b/c i have hung with similar cars to this LS1 from a roll (S2000, pulled him by 1 car in 4th gear at 55mph before i knew i had to be above 3500 to make power , a Z3-M THat i was dead even with, a GTO that trapped 109 only pulled me by 1 or so cars from 65-95) So i really am not getting this. If my friend was dead even w/me fro ma roll, how could he trap so low?

a better 60' will usually result in a lower trap speed, but better E/T

So yes if he dead hooks, his mph will be lower then if he spun

Not to be a jackass and split hairs, but with a 2.2 vs. his 2.0, could he have managed maybe a 103-104 trap speed? Thats what I think he would need to hang w/me like he did from a roll. Is that possible? He ran 13.611@100.7 w/ a 2.0 60'

i trapped 104.98 something almost 105 STOCK as an A4 convertible

and trapped 85mph at a diff track in the 1/8

All i know is the Z28 saw my tail lights from a 75 punch and my friends S10 was right even with me. Yet my friends S10 trapped 100.7 Trying to figure out wth!?

mine went 8.39 @ 88.xxx in the 1/8th with exhaust and lid only.. i need a 1/4 mile track

this lswon, you only trapped 78 in the 1/8? i went 85 mph 8.6 with a 2.19 60ft i didnt spin to much i just didnt go real hard out of the whole. and that was me stock. ive also ran an 8.4 at 84 mph with a cutout and freem ram air
