Here is a 350z with 20in rims(ugh),intake vs a stock gt 05 mustang without a passenger.
Would you agree if the 350z didnt have 20in rims and a passenger it wouldbe pulled.
Notice once they get into 3rd, the gt doesn't pull at all. I even think the 350z starts to pull slightly.
Let me know what you all think.

Nope, I don't think the z would pull on the gt. Looks like the gt was playing. When he's on it, pulled the z pretty hard.
Edit: I watched it again, see the gt pull out, than you see the brake light and the z kept going. Than he gets back on it and pulls very hard up top. I would say nope. Like I said, look at the gt's brake light. He was pulling in second gear when he tapped the brake.

Take closer look at the last race. You can clearly tell that the gt was not pulling anymore. You can contribute the pull from the start on the z becuase of his 20in rims and passenger.
I don't see where you think the gt is pulling hard. I think once you get into the upper mph, the z would walk em.

It looked like he was starting to reel the GT in on the 3rd run, not alot, but slowly reeling him in. I wonder if the GT was an automatic? I'd like to see 0-150, probably be a close race.

I don't think the z lost. The gt shut down early becuase he knew he was getting reeled in.
Lets take a closer look.
GT. 300hp 320tq 0 passengers
350z. 287-300hp 270tq. 1 passenger and 20in rims
Look closely at the last race. You can clearly tell the z was pulling before the gt let out.

Now could it have pulled in front? Possibly, and the wheels definetly didnt help, but theres no solid answer, well except for runnin them again

I saw this video on 350z forums and I definitely think that if it wasn't for 20's and a passanger, it would've been a lot close and even with possibility of 350z pulling on GT.
Reason why GT was stopping is because he has a governor at 200kmh or so.

Wow, that was closer than I thought it would be. The weight could have been an issue but I know that stock for stock a 05-06 GT should win. I mean some of the 02's and up give me trouble here and there. Slightly modded they'll win.......for now......

now due to the 20in rims it's takes more power for them to get moving but at higher speeds they cover more ground with less revalutions.
so without the rims he'd be slower top end but faster off the line

the only time the 350 made up any ground at all is RIGHT before you see mustang brake lights...
now let me ask you this, are you floored and then SLAM on the brakes? no- you let off the gas and then hit the brakes. that explains the 1' he made up right before the brake lights.

Why are you guys hating on that 350z so much? Guy never talked trash to anyone and just posted a race he had with a domestic car. I think he kept with him very well and if it wasn't for the 20's, passanger, and a full tank of gas, he probably would've done even better and possibly beat GT.
You guys should realize that nowadays v6's come with 300hp and can definitely hold their own against v8's. Stang has 300hp and so does the 350z, plus it had a few mods and a stang was auto, so I don't see why it would be impossible for that "***** import" to beat an american v8...
